That show on sony was very popular on the channel that time.Ranbir Kanya had lots of fans.The forum was flooded with their ffs.a few years back the episodes were uploaded on sony and all were asking for its season2.The comment section was flooded with the comments of its old viewers. Even now somebody on wattpad is writing ranbir kanya ffs.So it's not that nobody can accept him in a positive role.

They can’t make him a positive character if they tried, once Aakashdeep was cast the writing was on the wall. He’s kinda infamous for Ansh now and they can’t break the image if they tried. Doesn’t help that he also looks like he’s a villain more than a positive character. I mean Ekta made a show with him as a romantic lead on Sony and it tanked. She tried but once Ansh got so big there was no escaping.

Had they cast a different actor maybe they could’ve avoided this trap but they knew what they wanted and so cast him.

Ansh was believable because he was raised by criminal Gujral but here Rio is looking dumb.

Upbringing doesn’t mean anything sometimes that’s the point they’re making here. Especially when a person’s whole perception of themselves is changed in an instant.

The problem isn’t just that he’s found out he’s the biological son of Ansh and not Karan but that Ansh was murdered by his own mom for what he perceives to be an accusation that could be a lie from where he stands.

Not once did anyone tell him out of some misguided notion and assumptions of maybe protecting him or shielding him from the extent of the truth about his dad that what he did was not something that is an accusation that no one can corroborate but that Tulsi herself walked in on Nandini after the incident as did Karan. No one told him that Nandini had managed to divorce him and yet he kept harassing and stalking her, how he kidnapped her and then wanted to make sure she either becomes his s*x sl**e or she dies.

Tulsi didn’t kill him randomly out of the blue based on some accusation that she didn’t bother to verify but the ladder was escalated to the point where Ansh left her with no choice but to shoot him when he wouldn’t spare Nandini even after he did the worst to her because he couldn’t handle rejection and worse, that she’d managed to escape his clutches legally as his wife.

Rio wasn’t informed that his dad had a whole rap sheet of criminal history beyond the crimes he committed against Nandini and was a smuggler, drug dealer and probably also involved in money laundering as once Payal had helped the Viranis against the Gujrals before Ansh’s truth was revealed. She had FERA investigate and raid the home and offices of the Gujrals which is the body that deals with money laundering especially international money laundering.

Rio thinks his dad was killed because of a lie and probably hasn’t managed to look at the complete history of the man. He also has failed to take into account how he treated Rio and his mother, as well as Shraddha and Eklavya. They changed the canon of Eklavya in this season making him the younger half-brother of Rio who has now died in a car crash along with his mother as Rio knows. What we don’t know yet is whether Ansh knew about them or not. In season one, it’s clarified that Ansh never knew about Shraddha being alive and that she’d had his son. But here it’s established that Ansh knew about Rio and kept sending Niyati what can be loosely described as maintenance for her and their son for ten years while she kept waiting for him to return to her in US. It’s quite possible that they may change the rest of the canon regarding Eklavya too and make it seem like Ansh never revealed to the family about his wife and son but he was very much aware of their existence and had been sending Shraddha maintenance and maybe even paid her alimony if he legally divorced her before marrying Nandini. At this point with this whole mess it’s not even clear whether his marriage to Nandini was legally binding or not either. In the previous season he was still technically married to Shraddha but presumed she was dead so while legally his marriage to Nandini was illegal, he wasn’t aware he was committing bigamy. Here if he had divorced Shraddha, then he was a divorcee who hid the fact from his family and Nandini’s obviously before marrying her. If he didn’t get a legal divorce but they separated or he got bored of her and dumped her or whatever be the case then his marriage to Nandini was never legally valid. Given the fact that they’re making Ansh as a womaniser who was more into use and throw when it came to women until he met resistance in Nandini, it wouldn’t surprise me in the least if they show that Ansh never got a divorce from Shraddha, he just left her or maybe she left him once she discovered he had a son from a different woman before she married him. That he hid the truth of his affair with Niyati and to date has been paying her money to provide for his son. Shraddha may have sought a divorce from him but he never signed the papers. His attention was diverted to Nandini and he disappeared from her life entirely only for Shraddha to discover what had happened once he was killed at which point she got in touch with the Viranis once the dust had settled.

In his head, Rio has made Ansh a victim based on his assumptions and the fact that he’s been lied to by Karan for ages and even when the truth was disclosed it wasn’t given to him freely and in its entirety. He wants to think the best of his dad and blame others because it’s easier to hate Nandini and even Tulsi than accept that he is the seed of such a monster come to life who is now on a path of a twisted self fulfilling doomed prophecy.

Online audience didn’t translate to TRPs as back then they didn’t account for anything. Now online audiences are actually accounted for as a viable source to be considered.

Don’t really watch Vaishnavi that carefully to notice anything.

The family’s apologies don’t matter here, he’s made up his mind and cast Ansh as the victim in the story.

Wanted him to be grey character instead of negative and only niyati should have been negative.

Karan finds Rio in a similar boat to himself - an illegitimate child ignored and all but forgotten by his dad. Mihir paid for Karan’s upbringing and to ensure Mandira was also well provided for as the mother of his child. Ansh technically did the same and followed in the footsteps of his biological dad when it came to Rio. His situation is why Karan is so attached and concerned about Rio.

Karan had to fight his way through to get recognition and acceptance. He didn’t want another child of the family to go through what he did if he could help him out and avoid the same fate for another innocent. Rio isn’t aware of Karan’s own past. Everyone talks about Karan doing this whole thing out of some misplaced sense of guilt, even the stupid writers are making him says irrational and ludicrous stuff when the explanation is rational and makes sense when you simply make Karan admit that he saw a glimpse of himself as a child desperately wanting and waiting for his father. That’s all it takes and all the pieces fall into place.

But sony shows have a huge fanbase despite of not getting great trp.Sony wanted to extend kuch is tara bcz of its popularity.They even suggested to turn the mother negative.But Ekta refused to do it as she wanted the show to remain as a mysterious romantic comedy instead of making it a typical daily soap by extending it.Infact after kuch is Tara no show on Sony clicked for around years till baat humari and balh came.So its not that If Akash dies positive role the show will become a flop.Every actor will be accepted in positive and negative role if the script is good.

He maybe accepted in a positive role but maybe not on this show. Sony shows have been popular but they’re still not in the top 10, that’s the point.

But thats not the fault of the actors. Right?Thats the condition of sony.
