1. DO NOT have him rush to SR when his child is nearly being abducted. Being se*y and romantic and eager is not machoism/heroism. Being able to control, think and act for others is the heroism. Just show him worried. Half of your job is done.
2. Mannat might expect SR because she is oblivious and thinks Dua is safe with DK. Atleast have the braining Vik to keep Dua with Neetu and Ronnie for the night. See?! the priorities? Best would be to divulge the info to his wife. But going by the writers, he would assume Mannat trusts DK so he will not divulge.
3. Otherwise, the easy approach to save from this dilemma is to make him disappear. I think they will choose this easy path. IMO It is better than celebrating SR. Mannat will later be shown pregnant because they did it in Kitchen the night before. It will look se*xy to the fans anyways that they did it in kitchen. Goes with the template 
Without this, if he celebrates SR, god save his character arc. And please dont say it is good writing for a male lead character...Oh he is human, he is not ideal, he is flawed so he swayed away. No one, who is a good parent, will place their child below themselves.
If they do this, I agree writers are putting effort for a day! Even making Vik disappear will be considered good writing

I hate the makers for ruining DCP to this extent. They made pyar and dil ka rishta a joke… were they are giving Neetu and Shruthi, hailing them for their parvarish … they ruined DCP my fav!
Neetu aur DCP mein kya farak raha ab.. she drugged and hid the truth … now DCP and Dua relationship is ruined. 
Still Neetu will now come out all whitewashed…
