Storywise its clear the makers do fan service of online nibbis. ITV had better representation of Muslim culture in past with maturity . Heck even gul khan qubool hai was progressive in first year.
It feels like these people are making show for Pinterest board and Instagram edits.
Actually the first 30-40 episodes of this show had a good Muslim representation for Mufti family. Like Seher and her mom used to wear Burqa and Mahid and his family the way they were shown are somewhat like how Mufti families are like.
But from the sangeet episode all these went for a toss, I always thought Seher’s costume was too revealing for a future Mufti’s wife. If they were shown as a usual Indian Muslim family it was still okay but bruh they are shown as a Mufti family. After the wedding suddenly Seher and Kausar dont wear Burqa anymore, I read somewhere apparently there were issues with that or something.In one of their epi they showed Mahid doing wudu in the room which I found pretty strange.
The only Muslim representation I actually thought was somewhat good in their later episodes was when they showed the Sehri episode.
This is what happens when the makers are focused to make it a controversial show than doing some actually good storytelling.

wont have been a problem if they made FL older or didnt romantizie it. i used to like the leads characterization too but now they became woke too, seher wants to be dancer or doctor i m confused and mahid seems to be bipolar
