Isha Koppikar is Ramu's Bandit Queen – "SHABARI"
The talented Ramu is making a film based on the life of another female bandit SHABARI. And guess what! He has opted for his own find the 'Khallas' girl Isha Koppikar to play the character. Isha shot to fame with the item song 'Khallas' from the movie COMPANY but thereafter doesn't have much claim to fame except the controversial GIRLFRIEND and a considerable role in Kundan Shah's EK SE BADKAR EK. But SHABARI might just prove to be a big bite for her as it is altogether different from what Isha has played so far. Ramu's movies are known for its realistic handling of subjects, this holds true even for SHABARI. Hence, the outfit and get-up of the character has become a priority for Isha and she is trying her best to be as perfect as possible. The script of the movie is right now being worked upon. But anyway, this film could prove to be a boon for Isha in many ways.
Right now, all we can say is that another BANDIT QUEEN is in the making and more so Ram Gopal Varma is making it. Now it remains to be seen whether Ramu's Bandit Queen could fetch him a ticket to Hollywood as it did to Shekhar Kapur!
