While the drama is well-done, part of me struggles to keep watching. I am not at all comfortable with the romanticized scenes between Mahid and Sehar. It feels like a sword about to drop and I really wish the channel will clarify where they are going. Otherwise, they are going to get complaints from the public and NGOs.
I really don't want Sehar acting as a therapist to heal him as a romantic angle -- she is in 10th. She is 16. She shouldn't be worrying about how to take care of an emotionally damaged adult. That is unfair and nothing romantic about it in my view. It just make is very tragic. Like Kauser said, who can she save when she can't save herself.
Instead, let us having any healing shown as executed by a profession -- Dr. Fareed. That would be educational as well as show how mental trauma needs some intervention and it cannot be randomly done by anyone. It is unfair that a spouse and marriage should be somehow healing broken hearts like they signed up to be a therapist. It is the reason so many people are in unhappy marriages/relationships and I really don't want to see a drama pushing that kind of narrative. 🤨
Any romance between Mahid and Sehar should be shown as an adult relationship where the two are on equal emotional footing and maturity level.
Parvez and depictions of DV are painful to watch. Well acted but you really want to slap him.
The plus of the drama is really Kauser for me. Acting is on point but at the same time, there is a kind of lively courageous spirit. Her interactions with Fareed so far are wanting me to check back in.
