Whenever we sign up a show or ship name... it's basically signed up for both ML and FL together...

But whatever I saw in past few shows whichever I saw ...I barely saw any growth of the ML ...I mean he is introduced as well defined chars ..but barely they has any dynamics...he is only attached to the show as subnames of being dutiful son, father, brother, and husband...

And the entire show runs on how the FL fights for her right in her house with MIL, SIL and the "other lady"...and the FL dynamics is shown upto this only...she has no ther growth in the story...

As well, I am saying..where is his story....where is the contribution of the ML in the story ...what is his equations to the FL ...where is his conversation with his FL ...does a ML has anyday role to a show else than being dominated by mom, & family... Else than showing his pov to his family with conversation...

THEY are only made centre of attraction when they are trapped by the "other lady"...till then he has no say or story... infact in many show ML are just seen as mannequin...sliding his neck here and there to bizarre drama...lest it's a big love story like "KAHIN TOH HOGA"...& "KZK"...

if it's family drama I say both ML and FL is programmed only for being Sanskari and being mannequin...in a family drama a ML and FL can never have their own dynamics of conversation lest a big vamp entrapes all...

I barely saw any story where ML has its contribution .....the only contribution is given to the FL is being Sanskari..and save their "Ghar"...

Is it even progressive for FL to have the only contribution..

That’s been the trend since Ekta took over TV shows. Men are shown as standing around gawking at everything happening around them as they come to know every dirty secret and conspiracy against their family only when the heroine exposes them.

These men are not just the hero but also shown as patriarchs who have been running the family and their business for decades. Sometimes they’re the founders themselves. Yet they’re so ignorant and naive of what a vamp does until the heroine gets a whiff of things and OTT melodramatic scenes lead to an exposure which ultimately amounts to nothing in the end, not because our judicial system is broken or corrupt or working at a snail’s pace to met out justice because no matter what happens everyone walks from prison or makes an escape like it’s taking candy from a baby.

I will go as far as to say something controversial here which might not be liked or well received but it’s just the truth IMO, these shows wouldn’t have any men at all if it weren’t for the fact that women cannot procreate on their own. Else every single character ranging from positive to negative to comic to bordering on grey would only have women playing them irrespective of language or medium or platform of these shows.

Also this is not an India only trend but I read how coincidentally it was also around the time Ekta started here that even English shows started focusing more on female led characters being show-runners than men and more and more men were shown as being secondary to the female characters. In American culture where sitcoms were such a huge deal that often had families with a patriarch and a matriarch at the helm of a crazy family running into all sorts of troubles week after week, suddenly the fathers were shown as absent, deadbeats, alcoholics, criminals, junkies and the sort.

Take a look at Grey’s Anatomy for example. The show has been on for nearly two and half decades now and it’s all about Meredith. All the other characters including her main romantic interests have quit but she remains. Moreover, the women are shown as the stronger, more wholesome, with more nuances as a character than any man on that show ever was or will be in the future too.

It’s like there was a collective agreement on entertainment industries around the world to downplay or worse, degrade the role of men in the lives of their families and even show them dumb when it comes to their businesses.

The only exceptions are when there are shows like Breaking Bad, Walking Dead and the likes.

Hiten Gauri started dating since Kutumb. They acknowledged it. They simply never went public back then.

Ekta in an IV once said that she wanted to get Gauri earlier on the show but she was tied down with Sony in a contract. So when her next show after Kutumb - Naam Gum Jaayega - ended and so did her contract with Sony, she got them on the show together.

HG had worked together even before Kutumb on an ad for Breeze soap.

I'm done with this clownery. There is no revelations happening. Pari is not being exposed. Reason behind Angad - Mitali breakup not exposed. Munni left without anyone knowing anything. And Noina-Mihir USA kaand not exposed. Noina-Mihir ONS, Noina's reality. No story is moving forward. Yeh sab dekh ke main aur time waste nahi karungi. When serials start to make me frustrated, I will quit. I watch them for a dose of drama, entertainment and moving the story forward. We are stuck in the same place. Only difference is Angad gor married

Main bhi after seeing the BTS of mihir and noina I stopped watching the show!!

Yes, no drama at all!! Just the villains and vamps killing on their non-sense. They really fooled us during diwali, that something will happen... but seems like this is just a stoic tulsi... who just has lost her spine. She may even get noyna and mihir married and walk away in peace!
