The irony. Some of the people in this topic who dont like the movie have given good reviews to worse filmssmiley37

I think this is a case of older generations not realizing that there is an entire generation of youth who havent watched such a film. For them its their Kaho Na Pyar Hai (which was also a pretty lame movie). There is nothing to get hyper or angry about. The movie wasn't bad and the acting the leads displayed is easily the best, since at least 2012 as far as newcomers are concerned.

Couldn’t even stand the first 10 minutes of the movie. Switched Off!

Sometimes it's also the phenomenon of 'a wave' , I feel, and people get emotionally swept away by it (which - with this kind of films - isn't such a bad thing).

Of course, there always will be people who mock or refuse those movies, either because it was a precept given to them (like in BB - most certainly) or because of their personal disposition.

All the crying looked so fake because no such big tragedy was shown in movie. And having one two tear is ok but crowd were crying like crazy 😅

If they want to see tragedy they should see kabil which actually was traumatic.

Getting raped again n again n then killing urself because u know u n ur husband can't protect U n a husband feeling so helpless against system.

Kaho na pyar hai story was bland but it became major hit because they didn't saw anyone like Hrithik ever before in Bollywood. And movie was enjoyable because of song n dance sequence otherwise story was nothing not seen before.

Saiyara was actually a boring movie especially second half.

It’s fine if you found it boring but you’re definitely in the minority. It’s the biggest hit of the year along with Chaava.

For me the acting of both leads is what stood out.

In the era of entitled silicone infused nepodis like Suhanas and Jhanvis with zero acting talent, Aneet comes across as a whiff of fresh air with natural beauty and good acting skills. Same with Ahaan who actually can hold a scene together on his own with good acting and dialogue delivery unlike the bland Ibrahims and that Big B’s pota….That’s where the movie wins. The rest there is not much to write home about and that’s why it’s a huge win for the young debutants. They were able to win the hearts of the audience without much of a backing from the content.
