I don't know what area you are in Viswasruti, but if you're from the real estate industry and you helped design this contest, then I have further problems with that.

I take personal offense along with my entire industry to some of the pics being shared here and being called representative of "real estate". We, in the CRE industry, are working hard to reduce stereotypes about real estate and basically half the pics are pushing the very stereotypes we are against.

Also if you wanted to run a game in the Real Estate forum then shouldn't it have had something to do with real estate? How is caption writing representative of real estate? Some games you could have run is something like a tycoon game where people have to buy and own real estate and try to turn a profit from it. If you can't do something financial, then something around architecture or interior designing might have been fun. Heck if nothing else you could have run Monopoly or Life or Power Grid or Acquire.

Don't mind. I don't usually comment against a game, but coming from that industry, I take strong objection to anyone who tries to present the industry in the wrong way.

Greetings to you @ProfMcGonagall.

Thank you for visiting this thread and sharing your thoughts.

Your views are respected and appreciated .smiley20

Your idea about interior designing is accepted and we will have the next contest/game in this forum on those lines .

The aim of this contest is to organise a fun game for the members , to give publicity and general awareness regarding the real estate forum , to inspire members to go through the various topics here .

As you might be aware we did have a banner contest few months back and Graphicers were excited to participate as it was their first time doing anything connected to real estate .

If you have any more ideas about conducting games or contests for our members please do share and we shall be happy to include dear. We are open to suggestions on Real estate forum Games n contests.

Did you even read my post or did you just make a generic post so I would go away by focusing on the part that is easy to respond to?

I'll repost part of my comment:

Also I will reserve my ideas going forward for mods who actually listen and try to do something about it, since your response here (and having seen your response in other threads and forums) is typically (in a summary) "thanks but no thanks I know everything".

Thank you for sharing your perspective. smiley27 We truly value your professional expertise in the CRE field, and we can understand why you feel strongly about how the industry is represented.

At the same time, I’d like to clarify the intention behind this contest. It was never meant to be an academic or professional showcase of the real estate sector, nor to define or stereotype the industry. The idea was simply to bring this forum to prominence and engage forum members in a lighthearted, creative activity, such as something fun and interactive that would bring people together. The caption game is just a way to encourage participation and forum members' bonding, not a representation of the CRE industry in any official capacity.

We absolutely respect the efforts of those working in real estate to break stereotypes, and we will keep your feedback in mind for future activitiessmiley10. At the same time, this forum also welcomes non-professional, casual interactions that help members express themselves beyond technical discussions.

Your suggestions about tycoon-style games, architecture themes, or design-based contests are excellent, and we’d love to explore them in the future. This current activity, however, is meant to be fun and inclusive for everyone, regardless of their professional background.

I hope this clears up the purpose of the contest. Thank you again for your feedback—it helps us shape better activities while also keeping the space enjoyable for all.

BTW, my faculty is humanities. While my academic background is in the humanities, I am also a businesswoman who owns and manages my company. That means I understand both the value of creativity and the practical side of running an organisation. The contest was designed with that balance in mind—encouraging participation, recognising talent, and keeping the forum vibrant.

Thanks once again for sharing your valuable views on this subject. . smiley27

Yes you are welcome to send a few captions … jot down what ever comes to your mind on seeing the picture …. This is a fun activity.

Real estate involves land and any permanently attached improvements on it, such as buildings and fixtures, farm lands , orchards etc . Buying and selling real estate is a major part of the economy.
