Maybe the audience didn't like the slightly negative twist, or maybe news dominated due to the war (the blackouts every evening in the north probably didn't help either)

It was going fine, till they started playing with Maan's character. You cannot show MLs as jerks every time. It's tiring. Earlier, the stories used to be balanced despite all the idiocy.

Getting back Kailashi hasn't helped.

TBF, they haven't made Maan much of a jerk so far.

The only anger they showed was combined with the "revelation" of his mother's death, and you can sort of give him a bit of a free pass in that scenario.

The proposal's timing and dialogues felt odd, but as someone else mentioned, it was a desperate Maan wanting to keep D with him in a futile, last ditch attempt knowing fully well that she wanted to (and was right to) leave after he put her father back in jail.

But personally yes, I wouldn't have made Maan realise his love so early.

But the makers wanted Ganga out for a few episodes, and the only reason why Maan would bail him out (temporarily) would be for the woman he loved.

Kailashi's impact will only be seen next week- she's mostly been playing from the shadows so far. She's practically a replacement for Ambika as villain in the house, but without any of the minor comedic element that Ambika had.

And having used the Maan love card early, they're trying not to use the Doree love card. I can see many indirect confessions from D, but reckon there will never be a direct ILU from D to M in the near future.

Kailashi will probably target Maan, and we might have even D thinking "it's better to stay away from him to keep him safe types".

Not ideal I know, but will give them a wee bit of leniency coz of TRP pressure.

@bold about Maan - That thing was very disconnecting I guess. The whole of Maan's character was about running away from connections. But guess they had to rush it due to ratings.

I guess yes. TRP's gone down, but literally all of Rangu's shows have seen a dip.

I think the slot of the show is probably working in its favour IMO, and it's not that the other competitors in the same time slot are very far ahead TRP wise either. Any new show coming will generally not want the 11 slot.

There's also the small matter of BB coming later this year.... it occupies the same slots as Mannat and Doree.

If they axe Doree and bring a new show now, that show is only guaranteed a short run before BB comes in. No producer will logically agree for that. OFC Rangu can still axe it, and put some re-run, but that's akin to outright surrendering the slot to a competitor.

nowadays, i'm just watching the show for time pass on-and off. its focusing on maan's mother which is okay but i feel there is too many plots running in parallel. nice to see sudha but something is off
