Nope! This is my first dark romance, and I'm banking on you ladies to hold my hand through this smiley36, and not let me quit

Liz, are you okay with starting Enigma on Sunday or is it too early for you?

I want to read the original, unabridged versions only. Okay, so I have paperback versions of A House for Mr. Biswas and No Longer at Ease because I read them for Masters in the past. The first one's publication is Picador and the second one's publication is Modern Classics. I also have the paperback version of Robinson Crusoe and it is Norton Critical Edition. But I want to read its e-book version. So, I downloaded Robinson Crusoe from Planet e-books (a legal website of classic literature). I checked the text and it's original only. The text of the Norton Critical Edition and the e-book are same totally. But the e-book is divided into chapters and as far as I know, originally Robinson Crusoe wasn't divided into chapters. So, I'm a little confused about what to do.

As far as speed is concerned, I'm a very slow reader. So, I won't be able to read all the three novels in May. A House for Mr. Biswas is a long novel (more than 600 pages). So, I'm willing buddy-read this one in June. I'm willing to read Robinson Crusoe and No Longer at Ease in May. I want to start with Robinson Crusoe.

I found the digital versions. For Robinson Crusoe, I found Norton Edition and for No Longer at Ease Penguin one.

I think, for Robinson Crusoe, how does 5-10 pages a day sound? Unless you want to share the same copy with me and we can fix a chapterwise schedule?

For No Longer at Ease, you tell me when do you want to read it? Along with Robinson Crusoe or after it?

I don't have the book yet. My hold says it's in transit but I can't be sure I'll have it by Sunday. If you wanna start, go ahead and do so. I'll just catch up when I have it.

Also my library allows me to borrow only for 21 days. I might be able to renew but can't say for sure - depends on how popular this book is and if there are other holds on it. So can we try and finish this one in 21 days if possible?

Yes, reading 5 or 10 pages a day is good for me. But which versions should we follow? We need to follow the same copy. I want to read No Longer at Ease after completing Robinson Crusoe.

Ok since you are a faster reader than me, how about I start it on Sunday and then you catch up? I can read max 2 chapters a day.

Ok sure. Do you know how many chapters there are? 2 chapters a day works for me. Just the discussions will need to be centered on the chapters we read on that day.

Do you want to create the thread too?

Well, you can share your copy with me and we can read through the same copy. Or We can stick to Norton Edition 5 pages a day whenever you are ready.

Yep I just checked. 37 chapters + 2 prologues and 2 epilogues.

I'll create the thread on Sunday when I start it! And I'll wait for you to catch up before we discuss.
