I second this. May be I was expecting a lot. If this had happened out of blue I would have liked it. Also I didn't like Rk's interruption. I think may of the ff writers here could have done a good job here writing Armaan-Shivani confrontation.

Armaan was a guy whose feelings were completely chained and restricted right from childhood onward - he grew up being trained to put family first and himself second .Always. He had never prioritized himself over anyone. Ever.
I don’t believe he was ever in love with Ruhi. Even his initial attraction towards her was probably coming from a space in his head that this is the kind of girl his family would like - so she’s perfect for me. I don’t think he ever knew what he liked or what he wanted.
When Abhira entered his life its was like an earthquake hit it . He couldn’t process anything she said or did. But when she left , he realized what he had. And that he wanted it and needed it.The Armaan of before , would’ve still suppressed his feelings and done what the family wanted but he had never broken the shackles before and it took a lot of effort from him to do that.

Waiting till getting to the mandap was wrong, leading Ruhi on was wrong - but it sort of is understandable given that the character of Armaan was such that he was not used to taking a stand for himself.

But having Abhira has changed him - he consistently has raised his voice against his family . Yes he’s done dumb things - but so has Abhira. I genuinely believe no one in that Goenka family deserves any of her time or considerations. If there’s one person in this show who has been shown to take a stand for her it’s Armaan. And now RK. 😃

So her putting her relation with Armaan on the line for Abhir- does not make any sense to me.It never did.
For it to make sense , the character of Abhir should’ve been a well written won,one that we could sympathize with, connect with. Not this guy we’re shown 😅

Abhira is certainly not flawless but Armaans kaands are too huge to compare Abhira vs Armaan in aspects of screwing up.

Yes Ar has been conditioned all his life. But it can't be an excuse for failing to draw boundaries with his brothers wife especially when he was married to Abhira all along even if deal shaadi. There are way too many moments where Armaan completely messed up and almost seemed to be convinced that he did still harbor feelings for Ruhi. The least he could have done is share with Ab as a friend about everything. He made Abhira feel so small, so insulted, so unlikeable so many times that no amount of his childhood trauma can excuse it. Just like Ruhis "trauma" doesn't excuse how venomous and horrible she's been.

The way I see it, Abhiras fight for Abhir was about right vs wrong, and about not letting her mother down , more than it was about picking Abhir over Armaan. Abhir to her represents a living breathing piece of her mom thats come back to her. But ultimately her love for Ar is such a huge weakness that she brought the criminal V out even after securing justice. She understood his predicament to support his criminal maa but he didn't reciprocate, and that hit her hard. The man she loved and trusted so much cannot understand her need to stand by her brother - the only piece of her mom she has left who is the actual victim in this case. Abhira knows that if it wasnt V who did accident, Armaan would back her to get justice for Abhir. So why cant he understand her pov just because its V who did the crime.

Abhira is exceedingly kind and forgiving. She understood his grief regarding bsp swap too and tried to see his pov, forgave that also. But he took her for granted and tried to control her in a situation where his mother had done a clear-cut crime. Instead of genuine remorse and guilt, they all (Ar included) were arrogant, threw attitude and thats what ticked her off and made her take a strong step.

RK has already proved a TRP downer and Abhir is not getting traction either ..IPL worked because the circumstances were very different ..neither Armaan nor Abhira are in the same place now ..so a reverse of that track was never going to work …and TRP audiences are not going to root for the FL pretending to be a random fellow’s wife to make the ML’s biological mom happy …this was never going to work ..don’t know from whose pea brain this idea originated …it is not about pace ..it is about focusing on tracks that are simply not working … winding them up and focusing on tracks that would likely work…Abhir’s wedding is not going to bring in the numbers …the audience doesn’t care about him 🤷🏻‍♀️

The Abhir-Charu story would have been better if they had included Kiara. Charu helping Abhir and both developing feelings for each other after realizing they wrongly judged one another would have been an interesting angle to present and something worth watching.

Post the accident I’m totally against everything Armaan’s character has done and completely agree that there’s barely any scope for any sort of redemption. In fact it’s just getting from bad to worse that now😫I don’t even want to watch bts anymore .. this is how itv works I guess 😖
