Yes they are actually inspired by Devdas and Chandramukhi

Bewda ho k bas gaana sunta tha ,here he is not listening to songs rather making every chandramukhi listen to naamdaar puraan

Yes, I was the one who quoted this example...This is a classic movie and beautifully portrays a relationship and a love story not in a typical manner.

Also totally random but the scene where Bilal is walking at the airport…Diwan is following him holding his bag and I don’t why but it made me laugh. His expression or lack there of cracks me up.
