Women's rights issues are very serious and sensitive in nature. Problem is, in itv shows, they make everything about women's rights issue which trivializes the real matter. At times they go overboard and become very preachy. Feels as if garnish every thing with Women's rights theme, swaad anusaar! They need to figure out how to balance both - men's rights and women's rights.

True... better show it in action, things that are shown in the show rather than going on in a monologue about it. Whenever Ammu goes into 'samaaj' monologue I cringe at least a bit, depending on how far she goes. Shows mein they just want: womens rights ✅ addressed. claim for brownie points shown. Job done.

I wouldn't call the guy as hypocrite but when she mentioned just because he gave me ring and jewelry,he behaved as if he bought her, he wanted her to cut her relation with her own parents and will have to accept his family as her only family. So what's the guarantee that in future he wouldn't force her for other things where her opinion wouldn't matter? Wouldn't he behave as hypocrite and dominant? Suppose she accepted his offer,left her family and shift with new family in America and ok she was doing job and maybe she would want to focus on her career first and then make baby but if her mil would want a grandchild and he forced her for baby?Then? And also would he allow her to continue her connection with her family anymore? And if Amruta would to everything to keep him happy then what about her own life? Wouldn't she become a puppet,a doll? Then the story would be same like "A Doll's House".

I seriously don't know what kind of person the new guy will be but as per their conversation and if of course the wise writers remember those dialogues then he will be presented like same which Amruta described about him but if they will now change his character and will show him as either saint or more negative then I don't know.But as per her description of that guy,he is a hypocrite for me at least till now, but after his entry let's see how they will present the character.
