* Aalia won for gully boy (undeserving award), but no one was keen to or gave ALL credit to her for her small role, no one said it was her movie.

* No one is taking away credit from Shraddha as ONE OF THE part of its cast to be credited.

People have issues whenever her fans tries to give ALL of the credit to stree 2 humongous opening and unthinkable business to Shraddha, coz everyone knows she is NOT the reason of either of Stree2' opening day business or continuously out of the world numbers at boxoffice.

It is as simple as this.

So what do you call this: the movie is called Gully BOY, and yet the lead actor gets peanuts.....while the secondary hardly supporting actress who is playing herself essentially.wins the "lead" award...what message does that send?

I have already mentioned Alia was undeserving for that award.

But no one (public or her fans) called GB her film.

The title "Stree" does not mean it is a female centric film.

Movie's name cannot suggest how much of a credit can be given to xyz, it all depends on the role and its impact over the viewers.

Anil Kapoor's Beta and Laadla were called Beti and Laadli, Sunjay Kapoor's Raja was called Rani, by the media and paying public.

BOTTOM LINE : Stree2 opening day' business and numbers so far, are not due to Shraddha, or at least not entirely due to Shraddha, everyone knows this, abb time pass karnay kay liye essays likhnay hain yaa loop mein stuck spiral waalay arguments karnay hain, aur kiye chalay jaanay hain, toh yeh alag baat hai.

Stree 2 is an ensemble movie. It doesn't rest on a singular person's shoulders. This fact is such an anomaly that Bollywood is losing its marbles over it. The industry is so accustomed to having at least one person taking credit for a movie's success that they just can't fathom that Stree truly is an ensemble effort. God, people have such small minds and narrow perspectives...🙄

With this logic the cast of Stree 2 has more star power than Brahmastra na?

Ranbir, Alia, Amitabh, SRK, Deepu, Naga and tele-Queen Mouni were all in Brahmastra, another ensemble film - but the film badly flopped, how come they could’nt save the movie?

Star power isn't exactly what's bringing these numbers in. What I mean is that Stree 2's success doesn't solely lie on Shraddha only or Rajkumar or the director or the script or the other cast. It is a full team effort. And everyone involved in this movie should be taking credit for it. I don't understand why people are fighting over who gets sole credit when they all deserve it. Shraddha is the female lead and she gets her flowers, yes. All the elements came together wonderfully to get people into these seats. This is what Bollywood can't grasp...for them it always has to be just one thing.

Brahmastra is trash and no amount of star power could save that dumpster fire. Maybe if Ayan wrote a better script, cast leads who actually had chemistry, and didn't spend inane amounts of money then it could have done better.

Reading this thread convinces me even more that Shraddha Kapoor is this generation's Amrita Rao. Loved by audiences who made her a star but industry politics shut her out. The Kareena Kapoors and Esha Deols destroyed Amrita's career and today it is the Alia Bhatts and Jhanvi Kapoors.

I don’t think Amrita was that loved to be honest. She only had two hit films, and in one of them she barely had a role.

Shraddha is far ahead of both Amrita and Janhvi. Some of her films have earned more on the opening day than some of their lifetime movie collections
