i too think he never had cancer but the lengths ppl go for publicity is unbelievable
It's not that I doubt about Sanjay having had a cancer, but as it is Sanjay, I doubt this 'mind-over-body' thing...maybe he wanted to portray himself somehow as a 'hero' in real life 
With two parents deeply involved in a filmindustry life it may not be easy to get grounded in real life. I see this with Ranbir and also Janhvi, too. And Hirani with his 'biopic' fell prey to the imaginary, too (fortunately there had been Vicky and his role in the movie...).
