The match will be played on pitch No. 4, the first time it's being used this time. It's a "100% black-soil" surface, and Simon Katich says the ball should come nicely on to the bat. He also said that dew could be a factor as we head further into the night.

DC win the toss and bowl first. Pant says the pitch is "unknown to everyone", and so he would like to chase. He is keeping the dew in consideration too with his decision. "Death-bowling has been a concern", Pant says. Sumit Kumar replaces Warner for DC.

Gill would have bowled first too, and points out that there hasn't been dew in the last few days. He says it is great to play at the "magnificent stadium" in Ahmedabad.

Rishabh Pant - We'll bowl first. It's an unknown wicket, our batting is strong and we would want to chase, there could be some dew in the second innings as well. We'll have to play good cricket, just taking one match at a time. Death bowling has been a little concern, but at the same time, the bowlers are getting better with every match. We're looking at gaining some momentum. We're playing almost the same team - David Warner is sitting out, Sumit Kumar is back

Interestingly, in the three games played so far at this venue, only one turned out to be a high-scoring one. Temperatures are expected to be on the higher side.
