Yes, there had been lobbying for Alia...but I won't say that it had been Alia herself...at least not initially...

SLB has - imo - money issues...the grandeur of the movies he likes to make are v e r y costly (apart from his first one)...so, I won't be astonished if he grabs the opportunities he gets.

In Gangubai, imo, Alia wasn't the best choice but certainly the choice coming with the money he needed to make the film.

Well, I didn't know...but I guess, not even PC would have convinced me in that role...but Rani would have...or Vidya... (I think).

So much Alia on the forum. I remember folks used to talk about Kangana just the same way with every second topic on her.

OT, did she ever get any role without any arm twisting?

Still, I never ever would put Alia and Kangana in the same pot...

I wouldn’t ,either. For what it’s worth, Kanaga is at least an original and is here because of her own self worth unlike Alia who lacks any originality or self worth.

Of course, she did. Alia isn't a bad actress...and really a good fit in some movies.
