"People forget that actors play a small part in acting compared to the directors. The director's entire job is to check what fits the movie, for example in Raazi, Gangubai and Darlings, Alia Bhatt was really good because the director could take that out of her."
I agree with that...
It reminds me of what the leads of the Ba***ds of Bollywood said about Aryan and his determination to get out of the actors what he wanted them to portray...and even the small roles got very well enacted.
That's because auditions are very important because the director is the one to determine if the casted actor/actress is able to portray the director's vision of the respective character. One shouldn't force a certain actor/actress on a director.
Alia's performance in Jigra was a forced one as the director had a certain vision Alia may not have felt (apart from the fact that the story itself wasn't consistent) - however Vedang could connect to his character and played it very well (he should have had more screen time, imo).
That’s your idea of fun? Seriously? Teaming up with your fandom to drag actors who are better than your favorites? That’s what gives you joy? Helps you cope? You ever tried doing something actually fun, like, I don’t know, writing or painting maybe?
And the joy this Hollywood and Bollywood gives us all

Not to mention, the movie was in English, and a painfully bad one at that. The last thing anyone expected from that mess was good acting from anyone. Priyanka’s been trying for over a decade now but still hasn’t managed a decent performance. No one even bothers to take clips from her movies/shows to drag her because, well, she’s not exactly relevant these days.

Lmao, what days!!!!!! I still remember when this released, I actually convinced my friends to watch it in theaters, and oh god, every time she came on screen to speak, the whole cinema just burst out laughing. I was dying of secondhand embarrassment. Never recovered from that one.
The delusions that Alia is a great actress just shows you how well propaganda really works on the common man. Even people with good heads on their shoulders eat that kind of nonsense right up.

this is how every fandom works no?Alia fans bash DP 24/7 then why should DP fans only have to be the symbol of morality and peace.
