I never felt like watching Gangubai but considering the storyline if the director envisioned the same actress to do different stages of the life, Alia perfectly matches the criteria. Priyanka no doubt would have nailed the eccentric song and the adult Gangubai but her playing teenager would have been awkward.

Maybe they held auditions and the likes of Sanya Malhotra, Shweta Tripathi weren't as good as the producer so the producer did the role as a favor to the rest if the cast and crew😮‍💨

Then it went to Piggy Wiggy

Finally to Chalia

Both Rani and pc couldn’t make their last movies a hit. It flopped. Not even a fan of Alia but that movie became the highest grosser and biggest hit for her. Never felt like watching the movie.
