I disliked the racist dialogues of Kajol in the movie and even fat shaming of Hrithik's childhood character. Another thing was SRK's and Hrithik's characters just kiss the female ones on the cheek without their permission which wasn't romantic but rather gross considering the age of HR and Kareena's characters in school.

I know right, especially dancing like HR.. smiley36

point 3 she didn't know

Re your first point, just because she didn't understand doesn't make it okay. Re your last point, she dismissed it when Bauji asked her why Pooja was there at the school in the 1st place.

Where was it proven that she was perfect for Rahul? He was always irritated with her and they were always fighting.

I never understood why Rahul even fell in love with Anjali, Kajol wasn’t presented as some goddess of beauty that Rahul saw her and instantly fell for her. Instead in case of Naina Rahul and Pooja Rohan, it made more sense as both the couples were like childhood flames type thing. In case of Rahul Anjali, only thing that made sense was Yash didn’t have the guts to accept it just out of emotions, he should have taken time to accept and forgive but it was like a never ending silence from his end until Rohan came back and took matters in his hand.

Nandini was the most spineless character, she claimed to love Rahul more than others, yet she silently let him leave instead of trying to convince Yash, she’s so spineless that she didn’t even inform her younger son about the older brother’s feud, instead dadi Nani had to chip in.

This movie is one of my favorites, I love it, and it was Kjo’s best work, I think no director or producer can manage to bring such a big cast together anymore, we had the best ones from each generation, and I’m glad that he made it before he started making movies for Alia

I did not liked Anjali character or how fat shaming was in K3G. If you don’t know but Karan johar has this obsession with skinny girls. He asked rani to lose weight in KKHH. And with Alia bhatt. And he did asked Kajol to lose weight for MNIK and she did lost weight. I wish he can focus more on choosing the right script than asking actresses to lose weight or how fair girls are in his movie.

I think Rahul fell for Anjali's zest for life. She's direct and uncomplicated and doesn't hide her emotions. He probably found it a change from his sophisticated crowd where everyone wears a polite mask, minds their manners and don't speak out their inner feelings. Which is probably why he even liked her habit of blurting out things which his father found déclassé.

I liked Anjali and Pooja's sister equation. They squabble all the time and Anjali tries to come across as the dominant elder sister but Poo won't let her get away with it. "Green makes you look fat and black makes me look se*y" "Poo bani Parvati" dialogues were so good.

Nandini was always intimidated by her dominant husband. She found it hard to stand up to him and it took years before she could find her voice. And she let down her son. She recognises it and that's why she sent her substitute Fareeda along with him. Anyway K3G is the perfect family film. Me and my mother bawled every time Jaya's lips trembled. And that reunion at the mall. OMG.

Are we excusing rich kids being elitist assholes to other kids? Lol.

Anjali wasn't racist to white British people. She was prejudiced. Prejudice, while wrong, isn't institutionalised like racism and colonialism that benefits white Brits. I can guarantee Anjali would have faced far worse things in London as a WoC who struggled with English no less. If they had shown her being c*ntish to other people of color, sure, I'd agree with this take. I do agree that her character could never accept the things that were good about her adopted home; the freedom, peace, and love it gave her. But that is on KJo with love your (abusive elitist) family bs.

Fat shaming is wrong. Refer to KJo being a Pos.
