In a recent interview with Zoom, Kriti Sanon addressed the discussion and shared why she sees the story very differently.

Responding to the backlash around the film's plot, Kriti said, "I actually look at it as two women fighting for love and not giving up. It's not about a man; it's about, like, I know that I love this person. I am going for it, and I don't want to give up because I have one life. I don't want any regrets. I think that's gutsy, because I don't think too many people have the guts to do that, especially Ally's character; I felt that my morality is very different from her morality. Our moral compasses are very different; I don't think I would ever have been able to take that step. Still, I like that about her, because she was very refreshing in how she didn't believe in having any regrets in life. She believed in putting her heart out there in front of the person, and when the person didn't choose her, she accepted it beautifully, moved on, and still rooted for them; that I felt took guts."

Kriti's response offers a different perspective on Ally, the character she plays, suggesting that the story is less about rivalry and more about following one's heart without fear of rejection.
