I don’t think bringing a South Indian character can help them capture the South market.

People in the south are used to watching their own language shows. Even hit hindi shows get dubbed / plain copied and played in the south for them to watch I remember one time seeing Balika Vadhu being telecast on one of those channels.

I really don't mind Sai playing a Telugu guy again. I may be in the minority here but I really feel it is his strength. No other actor from SP can pull it off. Still remember how badly Tamils were stereotyped in YHM. I rather see a real actor from the south who speaks this language play the character. Plus in all likelihood it is a short time role so it is fine.

I agree with you both that the wedding has put me off completely. Agastya ne sab rasams kiye hai Binni ke saath. It was uncomfortable to watch. Abhi they can show the marriage was fake (fake rituals and mantra) or question the legality (show Agastya Imlie marriage was the legal one), it still leaves a bad taste in the audience when it comes to Agastya Imlie love story. They even showed them stay the night together in the sane room.

This is one reason I feel they may really kill him off but then why did they show his character so well established. Yeh marriage nai honi chahiye thi. I don’t think they can even show Imlie fall for Surya toh aage kya story hogi.

They have given enough majboori to Agastya but still all of us want to bash him here. We dont want Imlie 3 to be a show that depicts ML walking on the thin line of infidelity. We want him to be loyal only to Imlie. Like others said, we could take all tracks but third angle tracks (Vishwa or Binni) coming between the couple is something we don’t appreciate.

Why are they killing him off so suddenly especially when TRP is good? It’s not even been a year since he joined! Looks like he’ll be the Accha Aadmi of this season just like S1.

Imlie will enter Choudhary house to take care of aashu 🙄 that’s the only possibility I see

I REALLY HOPE AGASTHYA IS NOT DEAD ( I have a bad feeling the fortune teller words will come true ) but it absolutely makes no sense to start surya imlie love story from scratch but itv ka Kuch barosa nahi hai .. trps ke liye Kuch bhi karenghe

They have to question the marriage of Agastya Binni anyhow because if not then Imlie will forever become the other woman in the story. She won't get the respect of wife which I don't think would go well with trp audience. Another option that they could go for apart from the two you suggested is that they could make Agastya binny officially divorced even though Binny pehle thoda natak karegi but Agasthya imlie smart tricks could convince her and then show Agastya imlie married ritualistic and legally.

In season 2 of yeh rishta, Kartik naira and vedika situation was solved like this. Kartik had married vedika with full rituals but after marriage realised that he can't move on with anyone, so he divorced Vedika and married naira again. But as you said all these solutions still leave bitter taste and has forever tainted the love story of Agastya imlie.

Agastya won't die. I am full sure on that. Imlie whole storyline revolves around him and his Chaudhary family. Neither Imlie will fall for Surya. Surya is a temporary character Who has been brought to give Imlie upperhand on Chaudharys . His face will only increase her love and tadap for Agastya

I completely agree on stereotyping South Indian characters in Hindi shows and movies. It’s annoying as hell. Sai’s previous character was a welcome change. And we know he will do well. It’s just that it doesn’t fit well in the story.

Lol, I have watched dubbed Balika Vadhu. It was hilarious especially for someone who had seen the Hindi version.

What do I say about the fake marriage. Why did they get Binni if Agasthya was to be killed?
