Ruhi giving water to Abhira and herself getting punished is symbolic. Both have yearned for siblings. They looked for sisters in their friends. And now they get their sisters. Their bonding will grow and become strong till the truth comes out. If one Goenka beti gets punished, the other too will.

I still bet on Ruhi reaching the truth first. B Nanu today also said that he'll always choose Ruhi no matter what. So even if he wants to choose Abhira he'll have to stick around Ruhi like a zombie cz Abhira will get out of the way. Abhira is out of Poddar house because they call her mother names. When this blame game starts at Goenkas, she'll leave that house too and reach her right home which is Armaan. This is repetition of what happened in Gen 3. MG has just taken over role of Abhimanyu... And Abhira has taken role of Abhir... Exactly the role...

Once they know the truth they will definitely love Abhira more... out of GUILT... Dr. Birla was quite strong while announcing he will never love anyone more than Ruhi and that Ruhi won't have to share her Poppy with anyone... And everything changed as soon as Abhir entered picture...

And it's exactly same here, Ruhi is very possessive about MG and wouldn't want to share him with anyone... And MG is again making similar claims... The kiddo Ruhi had learnt to share but seems makers have reinstated no-sharing policy with Ruhi... They could have really ignored Ruhi and Armaan angle in this show... Ruhi really needs to recall her lessons from childhood... It doesn't make sense anymore.. Is it actor or character... I don't know... All her actions and words are just lame...
