After the success of this round in Season 1, I've decided to bring it back to ensure you all still deserve to remain a detective.

Below are 10 short mysteries. Solve them, PM me the answer, and walk into the 4th round. Now here comes the Shreya ishtyle though. Each right answer will give you 10 points. But each wrong or blank answer, will cut 5 points.

The deadline for this round is Nov 29th 11:59 PM IST.

1. A woman is found hanging in her bedroom that has 10 foot ceilings. There is a stool lying in a pool of water. There is a suicide note lying on the bed in which the woman says she has killed herself because she lost her love and her family was mocking her instead of trying to help her move on. The family is convinced it is a suicide as well. 2 days later, the police declare it a murder. How?
2. A man walks into a bank and claims that he was robbed as he was leaving the bank and wants the bank to compensate him. The manager asks him how he was robbed and he says that his backpack was sliced open as he was standing at the light. The manager examines the unzipped intact backpack and then calls the police to arrest the man for trying to defraud the bank. How did the manager know that the man was trying to defraud the bank?
3. A woman wearing sunglasses walks into a store and tries to return a pair of shoes she bought a week ago. The employee examines the shoes and sees that they are worn out and obviously an old pair and refuses. The woman argues and demands to speak to a manager. A manager comes out and the woman immediately starts demanding a return without giving him a chance to say anything. The manager learns the woman is blind, so out of compassion agrees to process the return. But then the woman says something that proves she isn’t blind but faking it. What could it be?
4. A young girl’s dead body is found with a suicide note in which she claims to have killed herself because she is all alone in life, not doing well in school, and unsuccessful in love. The detective investigating her case visits her school and talks to the teachers who praise the girl. Additionally her friends tell the detective that she was always about studies and making a name for herself. Before the handwriting analysis comes back, the detective concludes that the girl was murdered and the suicide note was planted. How could she know?
5. A young couple go on a vacation and 2 days later the wife is found drowned in the bathtub. The husband is distraught and claims that his wife was afraid of bodies of water and he didn’t know why she was in the bathtub. He claims to have been gambling and cameras prove that he spent almost 5 hours in a casino. A police officer accompanies the husband back and attends the funeral. At the funeral, her mother says something that leads the police officer to arrest the husband immediately. What did she say?
6. A woman meets a man at a funeral and the 2 immediately hit it off. They spend the entire funeral together and exchange numbers. A few days later, the woman texts the man wondering why he hasn’t contacted her yet. She still gets no response. She tries again and again, leaving many voicemails on the number to no response. 2 weeks later, the 2 meet again at the woman’s sister’s funeral. Her sister was dying from breast cancer and had only a few months left to live. The police arrive announcing that the death was a murder and arrest the woman. How did they know?
7. 1 day a man looks out his window at the beautiful winter weather and sees a woman standing across the street in a neighbour’s yard, watching him. He watches her as well and then goes back to his work without doing anything. This continues for 2 weeks but the man does not react. One day the woman disappears and the man still doesn’t react. Why?
8. A man eats dinner, goes up to his bedroom, turns off the lights, and goes to sleep. In the morning, he wakes up and looks outside. Horrified at what he sees, he hurls himself out his window to his death. Why does he do this?
9. A woman shoots her husband, then holds him under water for five minutes. About 20 minutes later, the 2 go out for a romantic dinner followed by a walk along the beach. How can this be?
10. A king with no queen, sons, or daughters decides to work out a way of choosing his next in line. He gives all the children in the kingdom a single seed and says that whoever grew the largest, most beautiful plant will inherit his throne. When the day comes, all the children present gargantuan plants, but he chooses a little girl with an empty plant pot as his successor. Why?

PS: And now I'm so damn curious that I need the answers to these!!!

I hope to be Eliminated because my brain hurts

I got 7 of them in the first day and this PM to Shreya has been in drafts for 3 days because I have been racking my brains for rest of the 3 answers.
