My prediction:

Best Film- Jawan

Best Actor - Ranbir Kapoor for Animal

Best Actress - Alia Kapoor for Rocky aur Rani

Best Supporting Actress - Deepika for Jawan

Best Supporting Actor - Dharmenda in Rocky aur Rani

Best Newcomer male - Agastly Nanda Bachchan

Best Newcomer female - Suhana Khan

Best Critics Actor- Vikrant Massey 12th fail (to balance out the nepo wins ofcourse)

Best Critics Actress - Rani in Mrs.Chatterjee

Good predictions I will be happy if Deepika and Vikrant win awards.

Agree pretty much. I think Vikrant will get the short end this time.

Best Film (Critics): 12th Fail

Best Actor (Critics): Vicky Kaushal for Sam Bahadur

Nice call! Although Deepika had just a handful of scenes in Jawan, does that qualify for a supporting actress nomination? Is there a category for Best Cameo Appearance? I remember it being a thing, perhaps not at Filmfare, but at some other awards.

A supporting actress in Jawan would be Sanya Malhotra. Good performance.

I think its more about impact than length of role. Another example is Aishwarya Rai for Mohabbatein, she was nominated for BSA.

Also - Alia won BA for Gully Boy. Best Actress and she also had minimal screen time. She was not even there for most of the movie.

I think it's a little unfair to other actresses to compete with somebody as great as Alia. Would Ranbir or SRK win the award if they were up against Alia? No. We need to give Alia her own category.

Deepika did make quite an impression for a short role. Maybe they'll throw in a nod for her as a supporting actress.

In 1999 Judi Dench won Oscar for best supporting actress with just 8 minutes appearance in Shakespeare in Love. Though It's a bit controversial now, like the other wins and nominations for that movie.
