I agree with the sentiment that there should be public decency when it comes to festivals, and misusing contacts to get your way and harass others over it is uncalled for. I've seen it in my city as well across the year for different religions too. And, yes, nowadays it has been turned into more of a competition of who hosts an occasion better than the actual objective behind it, which was to unite people, not tear them apart. Won't comment on the religious part coz I believe you are entitled to your own opinion with respect to your personal experiences, the same as I am to my beliefs. That being said, I truly hope you are able to get some rest today. Take care.
