It’s your solemn duty if you work in a Hindi film industry to know saral Hindi. Especially writers because I ain’t wasting my money on “pizza jaisa gol”. Any yayayaya types should be banned permanently. We must unite against the KJo-fication of Bollywood.

I don't believe these star kids for a second who boast that their hindi is bad. People learn to speak hindi by only watching movies and these girls literally grew up in BW households and watched their parents films all their lives.

They have the thick Indian accent while speaking English and they can't speak Hindi? yeah nice joke.

It's just pretence so deeply enrooted that they started to believe they can't speak Hindi well.

There is a certain class of society in Mumbai, that identifies more with the West than with the home country. As others have already mentioned they think it's cool to not know the language. The Parents themselves have the same attitude. There is nothing Indian, about these kids other than their passports. They have created a pseudo-west cocoon for themselves. This is not limited to the nepo kids, it's commonly seen in many rich families or those who think they are rich.

It's sad, in the 90's they mocked the NRI kids in their movies, today their own kids have turned out like that, and the worst part is they think it's cool. Kids who were born abroad, and grew up in a different culture, had no choice.

But these dumb idiots...are just dumb.

I remember reading somewhere that now a days most of the actors/actresses prefer to get their script in Roman hindi…

No wonder their pronunciation is so atrocious.
