It's not a proof to trust; it's a proof to go against the three existing ones that seem to be near damning evidence that he did the crime (she saw "him" walking towards the King's chambers, the King names him while dying, and she saw him pull a knife out of his body). All three evidences that she's witnessed with her own eyes.
Bold- technically by that logic, one could also say those coddled ITV ML's who absolutely refuse to believe that their mother could ill-treat their SO's despite evidence being in front of them, are right in their own way.

I think for Tara love is worship and also her dad is dead. We know how silly the king was but Tara only has good memories as she didn’t have her mother with her but dad raised both kids.
Tara told Dhruv that she will find herself most unfortunate if he were to put love before duty and he saved that pervy princess. For Tara her duty is her kingdom and it’s people, and she has no choice but to put her duty before love. If the public wants Dhruvs head and asking her to give them justice Tara has to in their eyes do what she did.
I think aekiel articulated why right now the evidences are against Dhruv and no one knows Dhruvs change of heart. She blames god because she thinks he has abandoned her and Dhruv. To her he started this whole thing. If he is with them then why isn’t he helping them basically. In fact even I was thinking where in the world is kanaji and only saw his work during rain until then he was MIA.
Hopefully this new guy is kanaji in human form and that positive thing that Mahavir was mentioning. He can come and bring positivity as I think we all need it. In ITV almost all ML never trust the FL and later on they do so here too we will see similar as roles appears to have been reversed.

You do trust- Trust is important, but you do not trust blindly.
Tara's heart obviously wants to trust him, but what her eyes saw cannot be discounted. If the King didn't name him as a culprit in his dying declaration, I think she would've supported him, even if she saw him removing a knife from his body.
That's my $0.02 on it.
I'm not defending Tara- just saying that sometimes stuff isn't as black and white as viewers may perceive it to be.
