I'm not a Harry Potter fan, the character, but I do disagree with some points here. Im not ganna say he is bad. Yeah, he has bad points, sometimes he gets jealous, alot of times he gets mad, he goes through wat every real person goes through!

Firstly, no one is saying HP to be a criminal...😆😆😆 all we are trying to say is that HP has also got faults thats it!😉😛

again agree with what u have written...Harry is infact a morally good character, with flaws which J.K.R had given to make him realistic. not only Harry, but infact all characters in HP series (except for Voldy) is shaded, even DD....but since we always praise HP, i think its hight time we should also look at the dark side of him,,,,thats i, and nothing else. Anyways u have written well...👏👏👏

No one is calling Harry to be evil or not justified for becomming angry...all we are trying to do is to find all the dark sides of Harry thats it...and nothing else. 😛

And yaaaa Im definitely not saying he is the hero of the books.....to me all my fav characters are equal for me....Im just saying that he is put in different situation than others so we should cut him some slack. 😃 and excuse him sumtimes for his angry outbursts.

But what i meant to say is that he has got bad sides.....which we shud all aree with.....and he even has got good sides, which we shud also agree with...thats it.

I think that alot of the confusion that is arising here is from trying to differentiate whether Harry is good or bad. Well to make things easier HARRY IS GOOD! However this does not take from the fact that he is infact a flawed character, when many of the vices that we all as individuals possess!

This is shown very clearly in the fifth book, where he was very troubled in the majority of the book, feeling alienated from everyone else. But this is precisely the book that shows that Harry can be a "real" person, because his reactions and comments regardless of how hurtful and rude they may seem, were exactly as a boy of his age (remember he was a teenager) would have acted. Can anyone honestly say, that you have never lost your temper with friends and family, and belived that they world was against you at that age? (although to be fair to Harry, the world was in fact against him and he took his frustrations out on those closest to him).

However, I believe that it is because of Harry's shortfalls, it endears the charcter to us even more and makes us admire and love him more, because we realize that he is not on this unreachable and unrealistic pedestal, but he is infact a very real character, with very real flaws (temper,jealously,disrespect of authority-Snape)
