Exactly. Adi C clearly seems to have a damn good eye in picking talent so he knew what he was talking about. And if he picked a RS & Anushka for his movie, he knew what he was talking about & doing! BBB shows that he did. Everyone loved both of them.

I mean, Adi C is an asshole too (how he treated Anushka by calling her “not beautiful” etc, you could see how much it affected her) But you can’t dismiss his expertise just b/c YOU, who aren’t even a part of said movie in any capacity, think 2 debutantes aren’t “good enough.”

Karan's mother Hiroo is a Sindhi woman. She was her parents' only child. Kjo himself said that.

KJo & Adi C are cousins though. KJo has mentioned that a number of times, lol. So there is a familial relation there, maybe it’s from his father’s side.

Karan wasn't exactly the son Yash Johar had wished for and he showed it to his son...in addition, he was a kind of boy who didn't really had close friends in spite of/or because of being Yash Johar's son (a father who himself struggled for recognition in the filmindustry)...

Yash Uncle got fond of SRK during the Duplicate shooting (maybe showing that SRK was the 'son-he-would-have-liked-to-have'). SRK, the man he is, quickly noticed the lacking bond between Karan & Yash.

Then DDLJ happened and Adi (cousin to Karan) gave him some work...and SRK gave Karan attention (and noticed a potential in him that his father not even guessed).. So SRK went to Yash and told him about Karan's possible talent and promised to do a movie with him if ever Yash would allow Karan to make a movie. He then encouraged Karan...

SRK was right...Karan has talent...and when KKHH was a success in India and also abroad, SRK promised to support Karan as Yash asked him for that...like being an elder brother.

Yet Yash's confidence in SRK was still higher than in his own son and before dying he made sure that SRK got a hand in Dharma to quasi supervise Karan...only that isn't really SRK's nature.

I think, both had a kind of different understanding during MNIK (the first time already in KANK) that would alienate them on the professional level. For Soty, Karan proposed to SRK the role of the (gay) principal but SRK declined although still supporting the making of the movie.

Honestly, I'm not sure that Alia is Karans 'find'...I guess his obsession with Alia is just because it wasn't.

Karan has changed a lot after MNIK...at least when in the public eye.

True & also, KJo has very very emotionally, talked about how SRK was responsible for getting his father & him closer (heavy implication was, finally accepting that KJo is gay) and he’ll always be indebted to SRK for that etc. SRK & KJo are family. KJo constantly says that & you can see he means it. He’s a huge snake to most people but there are some people he dearly loves a lot. SRK + fam, Kajol, even Kareena to an extent, are the prime examples of his love, IMO.
