Anshula Kapoor shares Arjun Kapoor’s emotional wedding speech and recalls a moment she could not forget

Arjun Kapoor broke down while remembering his late mother Mona Shourie Kapoor at sister Anshula Kapoor’s wedding, as an emotional video from the ceremony resurfaced.

The unseen footage, shared by Anshula ahead of Raksha Bandhan, captures Arjun speaking about their mother during his speech. As he reflected on what Mona would have felt about the occasion, he struggled to hold back his tears.

Arjun said, “I want to take this moment to speak about our mom.” He then imagined how she would have embraced every part of the celebrations. “She would have loved every single moment over these last few days,” he said.

Remembering Mona’s personality, Arjun added, “She would have loved every ritual. She would have loved every tiny detail and done exactly the way Rohan's family wanted. Sab kuch waise hi hota. She would have danced. She would have celebrated and somehow she would have found a way to personally take care of each and every one of you who is here today.”

Arjun then spoke about feeling their mother’s presence during the wedding. Pointing towards the rain outside, he said, “I know she is here with us tonight because itni jo baarish ho rahi hai na bahar, woh unke khushi ke aanshu hain.”

As he became emotional, Anshula walked towards him and hugged her brother on stage.

Arjun also recalled how much he missed Anshula after she moved out of their home. He said that phase made him realise how significant his sister had become in his life.

Sharing the clip on Instagram, Anshula wrote, “I’ve watched this video so many times, and I always end up watching Bhai more than I watch myself.”

She added, “The way he looks at me. The way he tries to hold it together. The pride, the happiness, the tears… all of it.”

Anshula admitted she had not fully understood what the wedding meant to Arjun until she watched the moment from his perspective.

She concluded, “Bhai, no matter where life takes us, I’ll always be your little sister. And you’ll always be home to me.”
