Abhishek reveals why Ash isn't coming to IIFA

The International Indian Film Academy(IIFA) Awards promises to be a treat for all Bollywood fans. The stars have already reached Yas Island for the big ceremony. This year, Abhishek Bachchan and Vicky Kaushal will be hosting the award show. However, Abhishek’s wife, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, would not be attending it. The reason- their daughter Aaradhya’s school!

India Today has learnt that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will give IIFA 2023 a miss, even though her husband Abhishek Bachchan will be co-hosting it. The reason is their daughter, Aaradhya Bachchan’s school! Yes, Aishwarya and Aaradhya are staying back in Mumbai.

At the press conference, Abhishek was asked why Aishwarya wasn’t there with him and the actor himself revealed that Aish would give this year’s IIFA a miss because of Aaradhya’s school.

It was just a few days back that Aishwarya went to the 76th Cannes Film Festival. She was accompanied by Aaradhya.

Aaradhya is almost a teenager. It's weird how Aishwarya has not spent a single day without her daughter till now.

She will have a super hard time once Aaradhya starts college in a few years and will have to probably go abroad for her higher studies. What's she gonna do then? 🤔

Come on. She is just a 11 year old. Can you imagine our moms leaving us and taking trips on their own when we were just 11? Why is it any different for Aishwarya?

I respect that her daughter is her priority

Aishwarya may have relatable reasons to keep close to her daughter...

code for Aish needs to be compensated separately to endorse IIFA. Makes sense, cos she's such a huge star.

To be fair aradhya is at a precarious age …shes just about to hit adolescence …I get it if ash wants to give her attention

I wouldn't leave my kids alone at that age too.
