To be fair, this is the first forum I have been on. Are people not this defensive of ML in general ? I think the ITV expectation is that the ML will be butchered esp when the FL is pregnant so they have the separation then and they get back together in part because of the kid.

I really hope that Abhi gets a good redemption arc. I also feel like it's about how Abhira vs Navra were introduced. Abhira was a big love story and Navra we didn't even see a wedding for. If the story direction is Navra, then the writers have seriously messed up. A slow burning friendship to lovers story would have been amazing. I am all in for that. But in my mind at least it would be way more romantic and special and they would have spent a little more time on it before pushing stupid Abhir illness and custody battle down our throats. At the end of the day, the writers want Abhira. If we want to keep watching and enjoying the show, we have to be ok with that.

I wrote it this way bcos @kachhakela21 wrote about single mother stance and I made a gist of all other stances people had written about. I didn't write same set of people thot all these stuff. If you've more suitable word then 'they' kindly suggest.

It might be an obvious thing for people defending the ml with such petty excuses but clearly it's not obvious to me. I don't switch off my reasoning ability while watching a show.

This is my first forum as well. No idea what n no. of excuses are given on other forums in name of defense. Again Abhira is better than Akshnav, in whatever manner, is your opinion. There are quite many on forum who think otherwise.

Just as ml divorcing & abandoning their pregnant wives is an ITV trope... similarly fl not moving on with new ml without drama & poking from prev ml is also an ITV trope. If makers had shown a fully moved on Ak or Ak hugging Nav since the start would that have sat well with the audience? Ak is mocked & namecalled across SM for even holding hands. Plus makers decided to change the track & had to create a base for this pair, so they took it slow.

What do writers ultimately want? I'm not going to make any assumption about something I've no knowledge of.

Also, to add to the earlier thing. A good moving-on from past husband and friendship to lovers show is Bepanah. There we see Zoya being in love with her husband and coming to terms with his death/ affair. It's a slow-burn romance like most friends-to-lovers type is. Here I understand they wanted to show the leap. But at least they could have shown some emotional intimacy and friendship between Navshu post-leap.

Atleast i for one am fed up with the ambiguity it's been about 1.5 months with this

If they have AkshNav as their endgame they should in my opinion give them a beautiful story slowly remove AbhiM ckt kill him cliff him send him to US...I don't know what to make of what they're doing right now...gonna give reference of the latest scene(hand holding could've been a very cute scene but) is Ak uncomfortable, overwhelmed,Khushi se phoole nhi samaa rhi hai...this back to back Dil nhi lgda jaaniye 🙄

If they have Abhira in mind I want AbhiM to have a proper well written redemption arc instead of 2 steps forward 4 steps back loop that they're showing

I was the one who made the pak show thread nd honestly just the only forum i visited nd wanted to have some discussion...there was some discussion about yrkkh there coz this forum is for yrkkh but mostly the discussion was if ITV has had similar tropes like that show... I'm not sure if u have watched the other show to know the context of discussion but i would hardly like to joke about r@pe...if u wanna have that discussion that thread is still open as long as the Mods don't find it inappropriate i will have no regrets if it's taken down i wanted to vent nd i did that or my DM is still open

Thanks for giving context and the same, lol, right now neither "love stories" are worth watching. Abhira at least can be kept alive by memories for us fans, but Navra, even that is lacking. Just pick one and move on and give us some actual good moments.

Akshara was not uncomfortable with anything. She was just sad as to what things have come to. If Abhir wasn't sick, if Abhimanyu didn't find out the truth, AkshNav's relationship would have gone way ahead by now. But poor Abhinav has come to a point where he needs to ask permission from his wife to hold her hand. She was not uncomfortable with that but just sad to see his state. They showed what the situation called for. There have been cute scenes too. Remember the scene where Abhinav rests his head on Akshara's shoulder and she playfully teases him. So AkshNav are getting scenes (with whatever little ss is left after maata and her son's nonsense) of all sorts acc. to the situation.

See in ITV hardly anything gets justice. Leave Akshnav.. the best grandest couple of Abhira as per their supporters were done dirty for trps. So ofc I'm not saying Akshnav is the best love story ever, nor do I've any high Hope's from them in the future if they end up being together. But for me they're better than Abhira bcos I'm least interested in soul & big love story tropes. I can only watch that stuff in Disney movies.

I understand you wanted to see a diff take of second chance love story. But in trp race, as I said earlier, they needed to create base for the new pair, which required some time. Plus they didn't kill, or turned Ab completely black, or changed the actor (which are all easy ways out) so they'd to take into account how to accommodate the new story.

I was trying to say is that if we're indulging in std. ITV tropes then fl moving on after poking from ml, after drama from her ex family, after running behind her first love, is also a concept in ITV. Imlie, Pama, Silsila everywhere it was the same thing.

The outcry is still there. Ofc nobody can expect all Abhira fans to start liking the new pair. They still understandably watch the show for the reason they started watching. It's just that initially makers would've received only backlash & no support.

Yeah Ak's badmouthed in ig n twitter for showing any concern or even basic touch with Nav.

You see the relationship with diff lens and I with diff, so it's no pt. debating her facial expressions. We can happily agree to disagree.

As to Bepanaah, there the story was bw Aditya & Zoya only. From the start they were the leads, no new lead had entered. So in that sense, yrkkh can't be compared to it.

The initial part I just replied to @lagjagale. I don't think so at all that Akshnav are or will get v.beautiful story. I just said I'd prefer it to Abhira for my lack of interest in soul love tropes & the cringey scenes latter received.

I guess we do know we won't get anything beautiful from this show 😆 It's just all half-baked stories. Still all of us are here watching with diff expectations. Some are for the actors, some for ckts., some for ships, and some for the story.

You've no idea the no. of posts I've written expressing my exasperation with this merry-go-round of a story. But with stable trps, Ik conclusion is nowhere near.

Oh no you're taking the Pakistani drama part wrong. I wasn't blaming you for opening the thread. In fact, I'd heard the issue you wrote about on ig, but couldn't understand the outcry as I didn't watch the show. So I was genuinely intrigued to understand what had happened there. It's just that I found some comments (not yours) problematic on the thread so I was writing about that.
