The whole point of Tina writing letters was — she felt he was never same after Anjali left. She tells her daughter to bring Anjali back in Rahul’s life.

Also.. Rahul plays stupid Yo mtv game with his daughter and he answers Anjali Sharma. He always remembered her. Missed her. “Jalli thi meri Anjali”

Lot of people cling to Saree scene.. it’s nothing more than an awkward moment. Up until then no such physical crisis came between 2 friends.
That is not the moment Rahul starts falling for her. He even makes fun of her saree.

Rahul always took Anjali granted in college. Anjali fell for him. He got attracted to Tina. All these years that Anjali wasn’t there - he didn’t remarry but that changes when his best friend came back. (And no it wasn’t coz of saree) She was always more than that. He never got time to realize it until she left and comes back.

This was last attempt at explaining how the movie was always interpreted by the generation growing up on it.

Ramesh sippy wakes up from the dead and says - sholay was illogical and not politically correct, then what? Viewers who loved it all these years supposed to dump the movie?

KKHH doesn’t normalize stalking, harassing. There is hardly anything problematic. It is a fictional movie about friendship and college and love. I don’t get the whole fuss about its storyline.

BW movies are not super logical anyway. But it has a connect with audience. KKHH is not perfect. No movie can pass multi generational changing social scenarios. There is no point in viewing movie with today’s political correctness.

My problem with the movie is that Anjali changing was shown as an improvement and there was a message there that the tomboy Anjali wasn’t girlfriend material or worthy of romantic love.

Shallow how? In that case, I must be shallow as I have certain criteria for men to get attracted to them!

If we start thinking like that, then more or less all films are problematic as it's impossible to cater perfectly to all schools of thoughts and people and their lifestyles. And this is a movie from the 90s where people were less aware of wokeism and feminism. There was esp this scene where Rahul comforts her telling he likes her however she is & doesn't need to change herself. Later, she transformed herself not knowing Rahul would come back ever but of her own volition and she didn't seem one bit disappointed/oppressed by her transformation.

Some communication might have solved everything 😆 The way she wrote everything in those letters she gave to her daughter, it looked as if she knew that he loved Anjali back, but since this is a movie so everything is illogical. Aisa ho jata toh movie hi na rehti banane ko. 😆

Anjali ka pehla pyar adhura reh gaya tha college mein. That is the main plot line.

She gets it back with interest (little Anjali addition) after 8 years.

She is about to get married to someone (as a samjauta/compromise) but her first love comes back and she still feels the same for him. The guy is decent as he always was. And he was her best friend. This time, he feels the same way as she does. They get married.

Picture khatam. Paisa hajam. Chala re mandali.. apne apne ghar jane ka re baba. 😆

In alternate universe...Anjali Rahul would have grown up chunnu munnus by now😆

So would have Aman. They would never know how wrong they went in their lives🤣
