Anjali and Rahul makes sense on all levels. Rahul didn’t fall for her looking at her in saree. That’s the most dumbest interpretation.

Anywho. If you want to disown, disown the garbage called KANK. Yes that’s your most garbage product.

There’s a moment where the wind blows Anjali’s sari away and her midriff shows and Rahul stares at it and then looks away and that’s when you’re supposed to realize he’s falling for her. I think you are putting too much logic and emotion into a Karan Johar idea. The man is superficial and sexist. Anjali becoming feminine and wearing saris was definitely part of what makes her worthy of Rahul’s love in Kjo’s story. One could even argue that Tina was just a plot point until Anjali changed.

Ahhh.. the mandatory Rahul vs. Aman post😆

Personally I would have chosen Rahul had I been Anjali simply because I was in love with the guy my whole life.. I never could bring myself to not fall out of love with him even when I had no hope of my feelings ever being reciprocated..

As nice as Aman was, I did not love him. Simple.. and if years of separation and no contact from Rahul and his niceness did not make me fall in love with him, I doubt I would ever feel the same way about him.. so marrying him simply because he was a nice guy would have been unfair even to unfair.. he too deserved to get married to someone who loved him and only him

For some reason, This Feminism doesn't endorse the idea of a woman choosing the man she loves and her happiness. For a large majority of chauvinists, a woman has to follow rules made by men, to fit in their society and for a large majority of "feminists" she has to follow rules made by them to fit in. Rule makers have changed but rules are imposed from both side of extremists

Let women do what they want to do for a change 😆

Anjali chose the man she loved and lived a happy life, she wasn't attracted to Aman, imagine marrying Aman because you don't want Rahul, even though you don't love Aman so you'd ruin his life too

First love younger Anjali - life experiences can change you and you may not be the person you were when younger

Seeing your first love after eons may bring back memories and some emotions many times we make the emotion more pleasant than it actually was.

Every possibility that after getting together with first love with time you may realise you have both changed and it was not as you conceived. So are then stuck? Bec you have chosen? Do you have regrets?
Aman may have moved on too 😉

This logic is same as those people who find Friends offensive now.

Rahul got attracted to a feminine sexy Anjali, so? Most men would be. That’s how they are.
So did Aman btw.

The point is Rahul always had a place in his heart for Anjali and therefore, he named his kid after her even though they had no contact for years.

This was an interview very fun and chill interview

Loved her vibe

But the answer she gave was to please the social media so obvious

She also said in film it had to be the way it was

I don't understand the problem with kkhh

Rahul villian kyn hai I don't understand

Anjali never confessed her feelings how would Rahul know

And aman liked her as she was ermmm he saw the feminine version of anjali

And if some man gets attracted to a women's femininity what's wrong with it it's a natural thing

It was a typical 90s movie which worked because if its entertainment value songs and chemistry nothing great to dissect each and every thing and ruin our bachpan ki memories 😛

Aman presumably didn’t know tomboy Anjali so the feminine girly Anjali is the only he knew. Rahul knew both and while he loved both tomboy Anjali was friendzoned until she became “sexy” and feminine.

Oh for the love of God. I feel like a broken record repeating the same shit every time this bloody movie pops up.

  • Anjali loved Rahul. Rahul loved Anjali. Aman loved Anjali. Anjali didn’t love Aman. Anjali ended up with the man she wanted, i.e. Rahul. Anjali chose Rahul. Rahul chose Anjali. Rahul and Anjali is now happy. Now why the hell should Aman marry someone who doesn’t love him?
  • Rahul and Anjali were friends. Rahul has a type because guess what? WE ALL DO. He likes feminine girls and he’s entitled to his preferences. I like men with facial hair. Shaven men can fcuk right off unless your name is Arjun Rampal. It’s not a crime to have a type. We can’t control who we’re attracted to. Most people need to feel physically attracted to a person before falling in love.
  • Anjali was a tomboy and hated being treated like a girl. She even told Rahul not to call her a girl as if the concept was abhorrent to her. She wanted to be treated like one of the boys and that’s how Rahul perceived her. Mind you, she didn’t even find him attractive before she realised her love for him. So how is it his fault if she fell for him? Both were very clear about being best friends, it’s not like either of them anticipated that their emotions will turn romantic. By the time Anjali realised her love, Rahul was already falling for Tina.
  • Y’all persecuting Rahul as if he intentionally broke Anjali’s heart and rejected her for not being feminine or sexy enough. Bruh, the guy didn’t even know she loved him.
  • Skipping to the 8-10 year leap. A whole decade (almost) had passed since Anjali and Rahul hadn’t seen each other. Has anyone heard of personal growth? Fun fact, you can change a lot, both mentally and physically in 10 years. Amazing right? I KNOW (😭). Anjali and Rahul weren’t the same people anymore. Rahul can no longer be classified as a playboy since the dude had remained single post his wife’s death for a whopping 8-10 years (Have no idea how old lil Anjali is so excuse the incorrect time frame). They reconnected and obviously Anjali still loves him. Rahul was happy to see her but things were awkward between them. Too much time had passed and it was blatantly obvious that they no longer share the same bond. Going back to being best friends was simply impossible. They had outgrown that relationship.
  • Rahul starts noticing Anjali in a more physical sense. She’s not the same person he remembers and he can no longer treat her the same. How is that a crime? Their relationship had evolved and was no longer the same. It’s not like Anjali went into the fitting room and came out in a sari and Rahul fell for her within minutes! (Quoted Reference by Smitten, 2023). Also how does anyone know that Aman didn’t fall for her for the same reason? There’s no proof that he loved her during her tomboy phase! He could’ve fell for her during her sari phase as well. So does that make him a horrible person for having a type?
  • Look me in the eye and tell me one thing. Would you fall for Hrithik Roshan if he came to you in his Main Prem Ki Dewaani Hoon avatar? You might if you find this look + his flared nostrils + his characteristics attractive. Me? HELL NO. I’m simply not attracted to him in this film and I’m entitled to have my preferences. Image
  • Now if he came as Kabir from War then hell yes, I’ll be attracted to him because he’s now my type. It’s honestly as simple as accepting that despite the fact that both characters were played by the same person, their physical appearance and characteristics make a difference in determining whether it appeals to you. Image

In conclusion

Please slap me for writing an essay over something as stupid as Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. Especially since Kajol chose Ajay of all people. 😂

Anjali wanted to marry Rahul because she loved him.She was never over him n seeing him after so many years her feelings got aroused n she didn't wanted to marry Aman.

If she would have married Aman it would have become another KANK marriage..Why Aman would want to marry a girl who was in love with someone else. He wasn't tv serial vamp...

Also we don't know whether Aman fell for her Tom boyish avtar or after she adopted feminine avtaar..

Rahul's choice was a feminine girl n almost all boys will have same preference. If they didn't fell for a Tom boy girl we can't blame them. Even girls can have similar choices. Girls also don't like feminine boys.

Ppl analyse other person when they are going to have arrange marriage not love marriage. They marry because they r in love n Anjali loved only Rahul.

She wasn’t friendzoned. They both were infact best friends and Anjali used to be like eww never when he had said “mujhse shaadi karlo”

Anjali fell in love while he maintained she was his best friend and never even realized she loved him.

It is not like he had flirted with her and dropped her like a hot potato the moment he found a “sexy” woman.
And I don’t get the logic that Rahul is a bad man coz he has a type and he didn’t recognise what love is when he was 22?
