Do you support outsiders as viewers?

As a viewer, do you support and try to notice or give a look at work of newbies who are not from big families?

Or newbies from smaller banners or independent films, short films, TV, internet content?

Do you go and watch films of outsiders?

Has your own attitude changed post nepotism controversy and SSR death?

I personally never bothered about star kids and excess hype media gives them. Nor I like fans of stars making FCs for star kids or star siblings and star spouses (like Bachchan family or Deol family or Khan family FCs).

I am very clear I do not watch a star just because he is iska beta or bhai or pota nor I find most star kids as talented as their parents except a few.

Do you give a chance to new artistes and content creators, writers, filmmakers, singers etc who have no big name backing them or related to them?

I watch everything that excites me without any bias. Though my favorites are top priorities.

Nope....I support only who I like and like their work.....I don't care if they are outsiders or nepo kids....See I work very hard....I have a full time job and a part time job...I have 2 kids and a family.....Our money is not for supporting others in their profession.....If I have some money that I can spare....I ill give that to an NGO which helps kids, women and old people....

When I shell out my hard earned money for a movie...I want to be entertained. That is it...

I'm NOT interested in the star-kid/nepotism/'outsider' vs 'insider' debate...it has no influence of my choice of watching a movie or not watching a movie.

I rarely watch the trailer...only when I'm interested in the debate about the movie/trailer...actually, my choice to watch a movie doesn't depend on a trailer.

I would if they were more visible for a casual viewer like me. Everything and anything worthwhile is given to big names or to the same old established lot and everyone is so f*cking old. New talent just isn’t sustained in Bollywood. Especially outsiders.

So I’d argue that the whole system is broken.

I wish Bollywood was like Japan or Korea, where actors are represented by big entertainment companies, unlike Bollywood where new talent is supplied mostly by pedigree alone. Those companies talent hunt and scout regularly from the general population to find new young talent. Then they train, support, promote and find work for them. Just imagine what great actors would India would have if we had a system like that. You know, people who are actually hungry for the craft getting a chance to show themselves.

For example, two of the most popular actors right now in Japan, Yamazaki Kento got scouted on the streets by a famous talent agency when he was going home after soccer practice, imagine that. And Yoshizawa Ryo or (or Ryo-sama🙇‍♀️, meaning lord-Ryo, for us fans😍) just because his mom applied and made him go to a country wide talent audition and he was the winner. I mean how amazing.. underdog to superstardom. It also makes them more relatable as well, unlike Bollywood with these entitled nepo babies running rampant. I also personally love how they work for years doing minor-roles or even as extras, before getting noticed by the public. They then maybe get that one break out role and then bam they are on to superstardom.

And here in Bollywood you get handed huge projects automatically without any test, toil or love for the craft of story telling, just because you are born in the right family. So overall, I think it’s unfair when the audience are blamed, when new outside talent are never given much visibility in the first place. Project investors also don’t want no small named outsider given a chance, when they can find a dumb nepo baby with amazeballs PR tactics terrorizing current media. I’d say even the need to distinguish “outsiders” screams that the insiders are the default. So behold, the whole system is broken.

Nope. I watch what excites me.
I wouldn’t go out of my way to watch an outsider’s crap movie just because they’re outsider.
Same goes for insiders

If the product is good, no argument stands. I will give that a shot!
