Now mostly we see new girls but they don’t get many chances and usually in small budget movies.

That caste system thing is there even in Malayalam films but the audience don't care about anyone's cast or religion as long as they act. The only good thing about current Malayalam films is they cast actresses according to the requirement of the role and not physical appearance. Actresses like ranjisha vijayan, anna Ben, aparna balamurali, nimisha sajayan etc aren't exactly beauty queens or comes under the malayali beauty standards but are appreciated well for their acting skills. I guess only Nikila vimal is considered to be beautiful. All the beautiful ones with no acting skills are trolled heavily in Kerala and goes out of demand within 2-3 movies. They all go to Tamil, Telugu, kanada movies after that.

I think it is the fear of accepting her fate. Accepting marriage with Murtasim also means accepting that what the family elders did with her was right. Which was completely wrong. She was emotionally manipulated into saying yes to the marriage. The yes was by her, but she was left with no other choice than to say yes. Accepting the marriage means accepting all those atrocities done to her.

Upar se, she has always seen Murtasim in a very specific light. She thought him to be regressive, controlling, chauvinist, someone who doesn't care about others. But she has been proven wrong. She is unable to find any fault in Murtasim. So breaking the contract is also accepting to herself that she was wrong. And she is unable to move past that image that she had! Her conflict is between the old meerab and the new meerab.

I don't watch any indian movie any more, rarely one or two here and there with father if it is some big hit

my father tells me they are all telugu and they can't speak tamil
