You are right, i cannot remember any famous Tamil actresses that are from tamil nadu except Sai pallavi. I think she is a tamilian. Even Tamil industry's biggest superstars MGR and rajnikath aren't Tamilians.

I also like danush in Tamil. Forgot to name him with Kamal Hassan, Vikram and madhavan😆. Didn't really liked him till ranjhana but now he is among my fav.

Tollywood off late is run by deep rooted caste system so u hardly find Telugu born girls entering movies, forget movies u hardly find them acting in soaps , most of TV actresses are also Kannada and Malayali imports .

Earlier 80-90 there used to be Roja, Bhanu Priya , Ramya Krishna , Indraja, Aamani , Rambha but later on there have been 1/2 who also got lost !

Now mostly we see new girls but they don’t get many chances and usually in small budget movies.

Tollywood is run by the big mafia film families. I am assuming without connection there is no entry, probably Tamil industry gets all Telugu women.

I don't know how to say this without sounding racist, but I am Tamil so I should get a free pass.

But I can't stand the way Tamil dialogues are written in new movies, it pains my ears the way they talk now. I hate this new coloquial speech, it sounds unrefined, casual, without respect.

So Love Today I tried my father and I were both like couldn't stand it for too long. We are old school we can't adapt to new movies.

Remember Kadhalukku Mariyadhai or Alaipayuthey. Even the dialogues have rhythm.

I totally get what you say. I had that problem while watching ai movie. Vikram's character at the starting used to speak in such an unrefined way. I find the same issue in current Hindi films as well. All those local Delhi style of talking is not something i like. Also foul languages in Hindi and Tamil comes off as more trashy than other languages. I have noticed the same in songs. Older Tamil songs and even the early 2000s Tamil songs used to have a very refined poetic feel to it but i cannot remember a single Tamil song that I have heard in recent times that stuck with me.

Malayalam movies nowadays also have this everyday type of talking in movies but Malayalam don't have a lot of foul languages. There is different dialects in Malayalam according to the district the movie is based on but it don't come off as disrespectful or unrefined. It's kind of like Urdu. Gaaliya bhi dhe rahe ho toh lagta hai taarif kar rahe hai🤣. But the language is surely diluted a lot in recent times and the use of English words are very prominent. I personally also don't know the malayalm words for cup or bucket or spoon 😆.

This angry and cold attitude is her constant look/mood

Sai Pallavi is Tamil

Nayantara is not tamilian. She is a malayali and started off with Malayalam movies. As a malayali i know that.😆 I said i don't any recent top Tamil actresses except nayantara and Sai pallavi and i can only remember Sai pallavi being a tamilian.
