if a man's wife dies, then he can remarry, but if a women's husband dies, she will never get married even if she wants to. Why is it so important for a girl to be never wed before if she wants to get married? why can a widow get married? what i'm trying to say is "WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE??!"

Actually that doesn't happen that way any more in metro's and large cities generally. India has become more accepting of such things and widow re marriage is common , I definately can't say much about small towns and villages , its lack of education there. But else where its happening all the time , even divorced women re marry these days .

Very true indygirl, every1 s remarrying in the west. India is a very traditional place in means of family values and stuff. But i think the future generation is improving in this matter of widow remarraige. A widow has the right to love too. In the past it was different now things are changing bcz of education.

as men and women are same in right women is also right to remarry .. now at many places its accepted ...

at village and other area it take time .. but still there are few re-marraige at that places also ...
