So if she reveals it to rohail who is not even her close friend. Then that's totally out of character. It won't make sense just like how murtasim being soft to haya all of a sudden doesn't make sense.

Meerab deserves bashing if she does that.

Amna makes lots of good points. But her views on women, my respect for her took a nose dive. And she is educated, upper class, liberal, open minded representation of the Pakistan population. All of this is not intentional from Meerab's end. She never wanted to get married to Murtasim in the first place. Circumstances left her with no other option and she gave in. Even Murtasim knows that. Didn't he make it very loud and clear to Maa Begum in episode 20 that 'I am fine if she doesn't acknowledge me as her husband. I am happy that she's atleast staying me within me, even though our marriage was not willful'. The husband knows but they don't 🤪

They really need to stop with the whole 'judging' Meerab for being an ice princess and not sleeping with her hot and happening husband yet. Would they say the same if they thought Meerab was the hot and happening one (not that she isn't) and Murtasim kept resisting her advances? Surely, no. They would have a different outlook then. Double standards, eh!

Meerab is already deprived of so many agencies, her wishes, her dreams, her choice of partner (actually both of them here) but sure, they can sort it these issues later, let's get the physical barriers broken first. 🤪

We see Murtasim's emotions clearly but we don't get to see Meerab's emotions clearly. The script is written to show how Murtasim tries to support Meerab and makes her fall in love with him by putting efforts. It is not concentrating on what Meerab is thinking and what she wants. I read a comment that we need to see Meeab's monologue. I agree with the comment. I hope she will have a monologue after Rohail's entry.

People are able to overlook the slap, if not forget about it because of the way Murtasim's character is written(Yes, here I am reminding about the slap). But people are not able to connect with Meerab's character even after getting slapped and abandoned because of the way the character is written.

How I wish they had explored the aspect of Meerab being the strong and independent woman she is! Yes, she was abandoned by everyone but she still had the izzat e nafz. Hats off to that, since it's not easy. That is the reality for women in the sub continent. It's a different matter that she got married to a man with a golden heart. But rich or poor, women have to deal with the patriarchy and fight against it. They are made majboor and helpless, and finally let go of what defines them, just to make do with circumstances. This point has been depicted well.

But they should also show how Meerab comes into her own in this new position, and how she expresses her inner strength and independence even in the feudal set up.

I particularly liked the way she held her own, even after her parents shut the door on her face. That would really shatter someone who had their identity broken just the day before. Yet she moved ahead and took in her stride what life threw at her.

But more substance should have been shown as to how she expresses her spirit after the wedding. Instead, they made her do silly antics like making Murtasim eat fish

Oh she will get a lot of bashing for the slightest blunder she does. remember the nayla incident? She was called out for the accident and not trusting Murtasim in the panchayat decision.

Male leads in most case scenarios get away with a lot of things, and female leads are crucified for a lot less. This is a just a general fact. Not pointing specially towards this show 😆

Maryam, especially is so well aware of Haya's obsession yet the girl never tries to warn her Bhai and Bhai of the extent that the girl is psychotic in her pursuit for Murtasim.

Maa Begum is a huge dimwit too. In episode 21, Haya is outright telling Maa begum, 'mujhe acha nahi lagta Murtasim mujhse naaraz rahe' and a lot more and still her antennas are inactive.

Not to forget, her constant instigations against Meerab and even her advise to get their marriage annulled.

That suicide attack was ignored as if it was nothing. As if any woman would attempt self harm over random man on the eve of his wedding
