Yes BB UK went through channel changes, presenter changes and being off air. I don’t know when I stopped watching though. I often do that with these reality shows as it just becomes rinse and repeat and I get bored.

Abdu has time to do his research as I don’t think dates have been announced yet. It will be a very different experience for him I think and yeah he is a smart cookie so will adjust.

I was aware of all these programs as my mum would watch however I didn’t have the Indian channels so never watched. Then when I did my mum would only recommend things she knew I would like but after my trips to India 2018 I was lured to the bright lights of BWood/Indian TV lol so got into things more however stayed away from the reality shows until now.

The evictions are just a farce. I was expecting to see live evictions each week BB UK style followed by live interviews and the analysis on Big Brother’s Little Brother. Did the have something similar to BBLB for BB India?

Oh yeah,I remember the BBLB with Dermot O Leary, and they used to have Big Brothers Big Mouth with Russel Brand.

Russel was bloody off his rocker, lol.

They used to interview the evicted contestants on both shows and used to have a live studio audience for debates/discussions .

They've never had anything like that on the Indian BB.

I did watch a few celebrity BB’s, the last one was the one with Jedward & Colleen Nolan won - I think that was due to her sons/family really pushing for votes so even in the UK version, it’s about who is madly voting in the end. The celeb one is only for around 3 weeks so I was hoping Abdu was going on that but I read that they’ve discontinued the Celeb BB. If it was Ant & Dec’s ‘I’m a Celebrity, Get me out of here’ I would’ve been really keen for Abdu to do it cos I always watch and so do loads of UK peeps - it’s a reality show that has good credibility - but since that show involves rats/spiders/snakes/ tunnel/water challenges etc, I don’t think Abdu would be up for it. 😆

I think JedWard should have won that season.

I had no idea they won't be doing the celeb season anymore, as I thought Abdu will be going on the celeb one .The commoners one is a 3 month long season, too, just like Bigg Boss ,so I'm not sure if Abdu can hack another 3 months being stuck under one roof with another bunch of crazies for that long LOL.

I used to prefer BBUK on channel 4 with Davina as the host.For me, Davina was like the ultimate face of BB.Emma was ok,but nobody can top Davina.⭐️

Yeah,I'd be more keen too if Abdu was to go on I'm A Celebrity since I watch that too.But that's a lot harder with such basic rations ,and that too not even proper food or proper meals .They get like rats tails and goats testicles and shizz for meals. LOL.And the meals are based on the number of stars they manage to win in bushtucker trials .Sometimes, they have to share a meal of like 4 between 10 ppl or so. The whole 3 or so weeks they are there, they're like literally starving.😳

I think the closest is probably Big Buzz that Krushna hosts? Although I’ve never watched but yeh I don’t think it’s as structured with an audience etc.

I know BBLB was/is hosted by Rylan too lol. I like these shows when it’s for shows that I really like so when I used to watch The Apprentice, (I don’t like it anymore) I liked watching ‘You’re fired’ and I love GBBO (Bake off) so I watch Jo Brand’s bake off extra. 😆

I’m not clear on what Abdu& team think they’re doing to be honest.. If it is the commoners one, I hope they do their research and decide on Abdu not going. 😆 BB will be a culture shock what with the way some will get drunk or swear in every sentence. Here, such a big deal was made over Nimrit calling Priyanka a bitch in a fight 🤣and words like effin bitch and dickhead are used casually in Britain, sometimes in banter, a lot of the times in verbal spats. 😆

I like Davina too. Do you watch The Masked Singer and Masked Dancer? The 4th series just finished last weekend, it’s such a fun family watch 😂 and Davina is one of the judges along with Jonathan Ross, Mo Gilligan&Rita Ora.

LOL I know, I’m a Celeb is tough, I doubt Abdu would be up for it. But what I do like is that the public votes the person who comes across really nice as the Jungle King/Queen.. And there’s always sympathy for the one they think is being bullied, like for eg. Radio presenter Iain Lee came third in his series because of the public sympathy he received. That was the one boxer Amir Khan was in 🤣 He shouted I’m a Celeb, get me out of here in his first trial and got no stars 🤣

ETA - Also I have faith in the UK shows to make sure the environment is catered for anyone who is disabled, and that it’s fair to all.That wasn’t the case in Bigg Boss.

Hey both just been catching up on your posts. Seems like we have turned this thread into discussion on UK reality shows lol.

I watch quite a few of the shows myself and love the dance/singing ones so yes had watched Masked Singer and before that Masked Dancer all be it on/off.

Yes Abdu on I’m A Celeb would be a difficult one for him however I think he’d be up for a challenge. You can just see him doing all the eating BTTs where all the jungle ‘delicacies’ are prepared as ‘special burgir’ with ‘special milkshakes’😂.

I watched all of I’m A Celeb this year as wanted to see how a particular person got on and when reading up on various interviews, behind the scenes etc it seems they are all very well looked after. Yes it’s tough but the due care and attention is of a high level and as such if Abdu does go for sure he will most definitely be looked after and be exempt from trials that are not suitable for him. Let’s see if he does go and if so hopefully can catch up with you both to chat about it🙂.

There hasn’t been much said about BBUK 23 other than hearing about Abdu so I just checked and looks like it’s scheduled for Autumn time but looks like neither Davina nor Emma will be presenting nor Dermot.

Omg I’d forgotten about Russell Brand, yes he was beyond crazy well he still is lol (went to see him live once and he seemed saner lol).

I love watching all the after show analysis/interviews etc as it just gives a bit more depth to just seeing them in the main show but I guess having done Sociology and Psychology I’m just intrigued by their behaviours lol🤯

Hope if Abdu really comes up for THE bb uk it would be lovely to watch him ,here peoples have all the awareness of the peoples different abilities and needs I think he will enjoy it .

shilpa shetty didn't win bcos she got the highest votes, Jermaine Jackson had the highest votes, they let her win to save face, big brother became international news for racism, whole country was being labelled as racist they had to let her win, that's why i don't regard her as a winner.
