ITV is all about ratings. I have seen shows with relatively better plots and character development going off air. Even if a production house wants to show a good story and that does not fetch them trp channel will sack them. We aren't contributing to trp anyway so whatever we say they won't pay any heed. Shah drama is tried and tested way of getting trp so PH is back to that.
Am not a ITV watcher. I started with this MAA show on september 2021 and then watched another on other channel but that got sacked as it could not fetch ratings. If we are expecting a good story from ITV then we are fools. You would get some of that from Sony Tv but again to extend that even they would go that saas-bahu route. I haven't seen any show bid goodbye on its own, only when the channel kicks them out they leave.
I only saw Divya Dristhi leaving with high trp
That was a finite show which got extended and got over high on trp ( it was a supernatural show but I loved the relationships of that show).

None of the show goes off the air without getting kicked out.
