Good evening girls !!!!

I hope all of you are doing well going into the weekend. I watched today's episode haphazardly, so here goes:

Episode opened with PapaG pouring out his angst and tears with Katha. He is busy raking up brownie points, by throwing the biggest pity party ever for himself. I am sorry, if I am sounding nasty, as I am not softening up to him anytime soon. As a mother, I cannot find it in myself to forgive and forget the words uttered by him to a very scared, suffering mother who came to him for help. 😡 Repentance ek alag baath hain, but at the moment I am not ready to warm up to this character. I am sure next, he is going to be throwing the monkey-wrench into the love story if there is ever going to be one

Now, why does PapaG's words remind Katha of Viaan? I didn't quite understand the connection there. Is she also considering that Viaan may be in PapaG's position someday, repenting, crying and wailing if she didn't forgive him and hear him out?

So, I didn't quite understand why Katha decided to hear out Viaan's side of the story ( or whatever ). The guy is so flabbergasted that he called her " tum"🤣🤣 Bahut hi respect hain despite what he proposed and went through with the deed🤡 I don't know what to say. And then he is totally tongue tied, not able to get his words out. Dayaalu Katha asked him to first prepare what he wants to talk about before springing this request on her and doing the eenie, meanie.......🤣

In our story, the roles of ML and FL are flipped, which I don't mind the least. Bahut dekh chukein hain, a clueless ML who gets himself phasaoed in all kinds of kaands and the FL has to dig him out of the ditch without him even being aware of it. Then, he doesn't believe nor acknowledge FLs back breaking efforts, that FL often has to find proofs and evidences to make him understand that the vamp is, in fact a VAMP

Here, Katha is behaving just like our generic MLs of TV. She knows that her son is not exactly chummy with Ehsan, uska sir kha gayaa the whole time they had dinner with Ehsan and Arnav drags around when he has to go for dinner, toh, why would she agree to go sailing on a yacht with the same guy? Kis khushi mein? And she seems to be uncomfortable with his physical advances, however small and nuanced they might be, so, why would she agree for an evening with the same guy? Where is her instinct and intuition as a mature woman? She is getting herself into quick sand with her eyes wide open👎🏼🤢

Aur, heroji is our FL, who is trying to extricate her from the mess without her knowing about it and even wonders if she would believe him. I am not saying he is wrong in the trust part, kaand jo kiya hain😲We have been told that Ehsan is a player. These were the vibes he gave out in the beginning itself, but they didn't elaborate much at that time.

Seems like we have two Ehsan's in the making the number 9 and 11, the bullies getting to Arnav. Dodo's sad story is coming up.........

Looks like Yuvraaj has a jabardasth EMA going on the side, where he is pouring his heart out to someone else. Nail biting suspense for next week as to who this hand belongs to😈

I don't know girls, is it just me, it somehow feels like the show has lost the momentum😒 and I am not happy about it.

That is it for me😊.......Tagging a few, please no obligation to read......

With only 50 episodes in, the show has indeed lost momentum. It is no different than other shows on air right now, just in a shinier packaging.

I don't feel like analyzing or writing essays about it anymore. Viaan and katha have an interesting story ahead, but the pacing is a major issue. I only pop in here to see what is happening otherwise, I mostly avoid the episodes.

@Bold - I was wondering the same. She decides all of a sudden that she wants to hear what Viaan has to say to her just like that when she was trying to avoid him at all costs? If they were having some kind of conversation for business or something else and then she interrupted to ask what he wanted to say it would make sense. But here she directly went up to Viaan to start a convo. Loved their scene though!

I also feel like the show has lost its momentum. I'm not as excited for every episode like I used to be up until Viaan getting to know the truth.

Yeah they really need to start the love story that too at full speed. I also don't want them to drag the love story bit till like 300 epis. There is a limit to how slow they can make the whole love story and if they go slow as hell then it's just not going to be anything special. But they need to start the love story real soon because there is nothing good left to see in this show anymore.

Totally agree with you! You have summarized it well!

I am sick of watching Viaan being uncomfortable around Katha all the time! I am sick of watching Katha playing self righteous and independent women card!

Maker's should have sticked to the OG story or even if wanted to change the plot, they could have given more time to developed all the characters!

I can't relate to the show anymore nor the characters!

So initially I liked that Viaan was giving Katha her space and avoiding her, but the fact that he’s actually this scared of her now has become so monotonous and so unlike him. He needs to man up again and act more responsibly and maturely. Like speak up if he needs to say something instead of acting like a lallu. Might just be me who thinks that way though cause people are actually enjoying the scared Viaan.

mili -- kekeke...as I mentioned in DT, I did like papaG chat. 😂

it is totally okay to have different views but for me, he was open, repentant and was very aware that he was in the wrong. what was interesting is that katha also feels some amount of guilt that she didn't reach out to the family after aditya's death. now whether her actions cancel out his doesn't matter. in the long run, she wants some connection with the in-laws and has decided to let go of the past. I see it more pragmatic than anything else. as shalzie and letha keep saying, we can choose to keep grudges or let go. it is a choice on whether we want to keep the conflict going or if we prefer to come to some sort of peace and keep the family relationship.

what I would like to see is the awkwardness continue between papaG and katha -- that would be realistic. a true reconciliation takes time and so it would be weird if they are on some close bond immediately.

that said, I was not surprised that she thought of viaan while chatting with papaG. the writers have been drawing parallels between the two men continoulsy. in the very same episode, we will have both men express similar feels but because they are of different generations and slightly different situations, the arc will play out differently.

so here is an example: this was in the confrontation episode

basically katha needed a mirror to see how difficult it can be for someone to stew in guilt and feel so awkward. papaG expressed those feels which made her think about viaan. I found it more interesting that she wants to thaw the ice with viaan. papaG is understandable because he is still her father-in-law. she didn't need to approach viaan, did she?

I think that they have lost the plot. I can't connect with the show anymore. I am mainly watching for Adnan. But I don't understand what they have turned Viaan into. Is this the same man who went through the ONS?

Your review was funny Mili. Really good to have you back😊

I like the show and the pace (maybe bcoz i skip every other scene except for Vian's)

I don't think the show has lost its charm bcoz the flaws it contains right now were always there.

And yes i agree that everyone's taste is different and not necessary that everyone likes the same thing

I never liked the cancer track and overdose of Katha Aarav because i found it unrealistic and i dont think they captured it well

Honestly i dont think Katha handled it in a right way

Had she been to her in laws sooner the MIL would have convinced FIL

And that whole suicide plan was really bizarre

The whole monkey monkey irritated me a lot even with a charismatic actor like Aditi

Having said that i know many people liked the cancer track

Coming to Vian's character i like the progression shown there and his current behavior falls in line with whatever has happened recently. He is not a victim here but he is really feeling guilty and when he begged for forgiveness he was told he is paapi ,he cant show his face to god and if he has gairat he should not forgive himself so he definitely feels he is a molester this all awkwardness and behaving like this is a result of that only ,he is normal with others .i m sure awkwardness will fade out with time when Katha will start behaving well with him.

As for the Ehsan's track i dont like this character at all ,right now it is the worst thing in the show and not because he is after Katha but mainly for being a terrible dosti k naam pe blot

I despise anyone who betrays a friend like that ,its a thing for me

But if we think about it he is helping the show progress

Also i m prepared for the love track ahead

and i know its not going to be passionate pull and pinning against the wall and other ITV things bcoz it cant be

Thanks Mili for the post. I agree that show is slow pace and they are not focusing on leads. I am ok with this. I still see katha as reluctant and bit awkward with papa G, even today she called her Mr Garewal. she is decided to forget and move on. I don't think she forgave him. Viaan is there in her sub conscious mind and that is why she thinks of him. I have accepted long back katha is hero and Viaan is heroine. I made peace with that. I enjoy watching scared Viaan and Aarav bajaoing Ehsan. and I love Batman Robin convo. Today I am stuck in some family function. will be back later
