The difference I see between the first day Hindi version of Bahubali 2 and Pathaan is obvious:

Bahubali was a highly anticipated sequel (1rst day being a holiday, right?) and Pathaan a (until now) highly anticipated stand-alone totally unknown movie releasing on a non holiday.

I would not regard the movies' content for a comparison.
