The latest episode was just fire🥳

Now, this is what I am talking about. Even a routine storyline, you can make it interesting. You can see the young girl's heartbreak and the choices she makes because of it. Meerub has just gotten her world shattered altogether. All her definitions of 'normal' and stability have been completely dismantled.

And how she explains that all it takes is one moment for the hero to comfort her, which she says changes her perception of him completely. Though she has some ulterior motives in her mind for the family which she sees as responsible for her situation.

You can see the hero seeing her bereft in every way and how he steps up for her in her very vulnerable plight.

You see the conundrum he is posed with. This girl dislikes him intensely but still says yes to marrying him. He is shocked out of his senses. So, he tries to converse with her, gaining an understanding of her psyche. He tries to negotiate his way out of a difficult situation but is trapped from all sides. So he concedes to it and even says, "dekhte hein kab tak saath chal paate hein". It is so unlike this intensely 'masculine', conservative and charismatic guy to concede that he doesn't know where his life is going.

Even the cliched third-wheel character is allowed her moment of heartbreak. She is allowed to tell her anguish to the hero and her cousin. She even goes to the extent of saying that it's fine if the two of them are kuwaare throughout their lives, she just does not want Meerub to reign over his heart. That was such an interesting psychological moment.

I don't really think Haya is Murtasim's chahat in any way. He said it himself- she is Haya, he is Murtasim. He just doesn't see her that way. It must be someone else, not of their rutba or social standing.

Waiting to see the next episodes. This is the only drama I am following right now. Wahaj is on fire and Yumna is good as well!

How good was Wahaj in this scene when he was floored by her explanation...and that glint of tears in his eyes when he told Haya just minutes earlier that he doesn't cry.❤️ And then he shakes his head slightly in response to Meerub's dignity.

THis is is all my feelings of this show but u put it so well in words

I love that same old story can still be made interesting by adding Lateran mysterious elements revealing slowly...

Also the haya angle is actually so watchable unlike most vamps which I want to skip off... murtism isn’t interested but still he is civil.. don’t remember any pak show lead having chemistry even with a side character... haya literally has a spark .. they connect on the not getting chahat part... her character can be explored more considering everything about her parentage isn’t revealed yet

Dekhte hain kaha tak chalte hain is an ideal arrange marriage trope which I love let’s see how far meerab can hurt him in her revenge

@zooniblue

Thanks! They have managed to give us an insight into the heads of the protagonists as well as the other characters. That "rona nahi" and the teardrop was a big highlight. My boy Wahaj killing it with his portrayal of the soft mushy side underneath the rough exterior❤️

I find another thing interesting. Every character here has a secret/underlying motive.

Meerub: Revenge against her biological fam for separating her from her foster parents

Murtassim: Unknown past lover, marrying by sacrifice for family izzat and property

Ma Begum : Prodding her son to marry into the family for money. Hiding the secret of Meerub being the niece for so long. Subtly manipulating all characters- Waqar in the past by taking him to her husband's grave. Her scene with Murtassim in the latest episode was again a masterclass in subtle manipulation.

Haya: Unknown as to how she is related to the family. Wants Murtassim by hook or crook. Has an Othello-ish sense of jealousy w.r.t. him.

No doubt jenna is so good as Wednesday

I think if Wednesday will have a love interest then Xavier will be her endgame. The makers are building them up slow and steady. We will have to wait almost 2 yrs for s2😔.

Meanwhile Jenna and percy are everywhere together. Maybe to keep the hype up for their movie together since it's a romantic movie.

I am thoroughly enjoying the show. I love flawed and layered lead characters and I am so glad that Meerab is also a flawed character. I am looking forward to watch her seek revenge from Murtasim.

She blames him for all his miseries and thus wants to make him suffer. I really hope the slap comes into picture, as in perhaps the slap fueled her hatred and anger for Murtu even more. I hope there is a concrete reason why the slap was shown otherwise it was senseless to show it.

Coming to Murtu, he is another layered, flawed character, there is an enigma and intrigue around his backstory which I find quite interesting. He is someone who doesn't express what he truly feels. Yes, he is a stubborn, egoist man but deep down he does care and has a soft heart.

I don't think Haya is his chahat because he had clearly told her that he had never seen her that way. Plus even his mother was stunned when Haya had told her that she loves Murtasim.

I didn't mind Haya yesterday. I like how upfront she is when it comes to expressing what she feels about Murtasim and I also like that she wants the throne as well which adds another layer to her character.

I am loving the show tbh because it keeps me hooked. Wahaj and Yumna's characters are written in such a manner that one is bound to love watching their scenes, there is so much spark and chemistry and credit goes to the writer and actor for it. It reminds me of the line, 'The dance of fire and ice'. This is what describes Murtasim and Meerab aptly. Fire represents burning desires while ice on the other hand depicts ice cold hatred. They are like chalk and cheese yet so similar.

What I want - I want Meerab to make Murtasim suffer and while she hurts him, she can't help but start feeling for him, the more she tortures him, the more guilt she feels and she is drawn towards him especially as she gets to know him better. While she is on her mission of making him suffer, I want Murtasim to fall deeply in love with him and then a point should come where he puts his life on the line in order to save Meerab. When he is fighting for his life in the ICU is when Meerab realizes that she has fallen in love with him.

When she falls for him is when he should find out that she has betrayed him. I am a sucker for whump and angst !

PS. - Special mention to Wahaj's eyes and just how expressive, beautiful and gorgeous they are ❤️

Love how the director focused on his beautiful brown eyes in the dargah scene.

Remember I said I feel meerab will go wrong in this marriage first. From yesterday episode it is pretty clear.

Rest of story will be their ego clashes nd how they fall for each other or will they ever be ?
