The film is coming in 3 formats - Hindi 2D, Hindi IMAX 2D, and 4DX. Even on a workday, this should provide enough plus boom.

Pathaan Heading For One Of the Biggest Advances Ever

Pathaan is heading for the one of the biggest advances of all time as far as films in Hindi are concerned. It will no doubt be the biggest advance ever for an outright Hindi film as it will beat the numbers of War and cross the 30 crore nett barrier.

Then its about where it positions itself against the 37 crore nett of Bahubali - The Conclusion and the 42 crore nett of KGF 2 and if we go by results till now it could end up top of the pile but there is a long way to go and its likely the pace over the next couple of days compared to the first day and then pick up again the day before release.

Shahrukh Khan was always king of the advances with the advent of the multiplex era and the results here take you back in time though obviously its a different genre now which is the need of the day. In the worst times for the film industry Pathaan also shows nothing much has changed in the last fifty years with the traditional format Hindi film with stars and scaled upto the level of the present era gets the publc in and considering what has gone in 2022 getting people in itself is like a huge victory.

The advance on day one saw the film pick up around 6.50 crore nett with advance yet to open at many palces.The national chains saw 1.24 lakh tickets sold which is better the final advances of all films in Hindi post pandemic except KGF2, Brahmastra and 83.

Yash Raj films dominate the advance numbers as far as Hindi cinema goes and its basically because the banner makes action films that are like traditional Hindi action films rather than South Indian action films. The emotions are probably not as strong as the great Hindi action films of the past era and if that corrects then the sky will be the limit.
