Also, who can forget Our own mean little FOD copy pasting DP’s mandir photo all over the forum just to put her down.

yeah FOD in my private DMs calls Deepika a kali South Indian maid as I have already said. Shobha De referred to Deepika as a villager.

There are darker skinned South Indian actors that are very attractive like Allu Arjun and Ram Charan. I just think desi men have been getting away with strictly average looks for a long time while the women always looks so much better.

I’m not claiming that Vicky is super attractive. Keeping the adage of beauty is in the eye of the beholder aside for a moment; the discussion is about how Vicky is perceived vs how Ranbir is perceived in Bollywood.

@bold. That’s a whole other discussion about the misogyny of beauty and looks. I’ve heard more than one older person from my community basically saying that when it comes to looks it’s the woman’s that matters because men are men. This was in the context of arrange marriages, and statement was always made by women.

There is a lot of classism, colorism in the society and in the film industry

you can overcome colorism if you are from the right class

vicky's case is pure classism, ajay devgan faced similar ridicule when he entered on his looks, color etc, I think this is also the reason he never associated with the traditional bigwigs like chopra- johar and I respect him for that

it is because he and vicky are not film royalty, they are low in the heirarchy (as their fathers are stunt directors and not top producers/heroes or directors)

in a bbc telugu interview of zarina wahab, she says raj kapoor said she looks like a bhangan (sweeper), it is a slur and then she says he told her she looked like waheeda so he said that, what the... does that mean

both waheeda and zarina are similar background btw

it is deeply engrained

All I have been trying to say. Looks are completely subjective. Think whatever you want of anyone regardless of color. But is a certain percentage of perception still influenced by colorism and classism? Yes, it is. We see it even on this forum.

His is classic case of 200 times scream a lie repeatedly 201st time people assuming and accepting it as true! Holds good for both his "talent" and looks.

Sorry, I misunderstood you initially. Yeah, people repeated he is attractive and talented 200 times thus others started believing it. It worked for Aloo's talent wise too but not in terms of looks.

I will only talk about Physique.

Personally, I prefer the physique Ranbir has over muscle bodies like any other actor ( trying not to single out anyone) I find tall, lanky-yet toned not skinny men very attractive. Ranbir has that perfect bod ❤️

I find both Ranbir and Vicky attractive.

I don't care what other think 😆

Also, Bihari people are beautiful both inside and outside

The problem lies with people who think Bihari is an abusive word
