Like sometimes I feel vanraj is better son than anuj. Right or wrong, he has guts to take decision but it's not with anuj.

I won’t call Ravanraj better son, no son shuts the door on their parents face. But I understand what you mean. They have shown him taking a stand for his parents more than Anuj and Anuj has backed off taking a stand for GK kaka either on kaka’s or Anupamaa’s insistence.

I consider Ankush Barkha and Kavya in the same league, just because they are now behaving themselves, doesn’t make their past crimes go away. So Anuj not standing up for them does not bother me.

Ankush is turning out to be the lowkey version of Ravanraj and Paritrash, one who abuses his wife and also does not have the guts to stand for himself after a setback. Yes Ankush took care of his family Barkha Sara and Adhik as well but then didn’t let Barkha achieve anything or that’s the narrative from Barkha, they haven’t shown the other side of the coin. After bankruptcy he has lost his drive to get back on his feet and earn for himself.

So when we say Anupamaa should not support Paritrash and Pakhi( I need to coin a name) just because they are her children, I don’t expect Anuj to support Ankush and Barkha just because they are family.

Anupamaa still tolerating abuses from her ex in laws towards her/her husband/her little kid is called kindness and good nature. Still supporting her ex family is her right/responsibility.

But Anuj asking "his wife" to spend time with their 7 yr old kid and her own husband, is called being MCP.

This is what is glorified in ITV for decades. Any show which tried to portray the FL as an independent lady is rejected by the audience and that’s how producers show the same crap. I remember what Hina Khan said about ITV: “In every channel, every show should show them progressive content. If they find one show which glorifies a FL who is a doormat they will get attracted to that like a magnet”

The curious case of GK kaka is baffling. I know the actor is elderly may not be able to shoot the 7 days a week hectic schedule but DKP and ITV in general has a tendency of out of sight out of mind. They don’t even consider continuity and logic while writing their scripts.
