Cirkus opened advances yesterday (Saturday) and it was a slow response but it is really about what happens towards the end of teh week on Wednesday and more importantly on Thursday. Post pandemic the advances should really be opening much later in the week unless its a huge film like a Brahmastra or Pathaan.

The last two releases of Rohit Shetty Golmaal Again and Sooryavanshi had issues with multiplexes and advances opened just a day before release and for the former they hardly opened which was actually a good thing. Here with Cirkus like with most other releases the advances should be opening on Wednesday or Thursday as there will be some momentum by then.

A Drishyam 2 opened early but the results only came the day before release so it hardly mattered that advances were slow before that. It is a must to get results when advance is open early because if not then negativity sets within the industry so going forward next year a lot has to be though out.

It remains to be seen what happens to Cirkus advance as release approaches and hopefully the results improve and even if they dont these type of films still can score on current with the mass audience.

It's a Rohit Shetty film. It will definitely work.

Avatar will be hoarding all the premium formats next week. Plus these insane prices for Avatar would have killed the movie going budget for most people.

You are probably right. The theaters in my neighborhood have only opened up for one show a day for now which is very unusual for a Hindi movie because even the lesser known movies like badhai do etc got multiple slots. It’s Avatar everywhere. What were Rohit and Ranveer thinking.

Is this going to open in single digit?
