Abusive messages for a fictional character

Hi guys! So I was out of town for a while and I was just going through many of the older posts and it seems like I missed a very important discussion that also concerns me.

There are people on this forum who absolutely don't understand that Anupama is not real and are so consumed by their obsession with the character that they have no issue hurting real people to defend the character. And NO, saying someone will be behaving like an unlikeable character on the show if they blindly support someone and also adding that it's obviously an exaggeration because no one can be as horrible is NOT the same as sending someone actual ABUSIVE and THREATENING messages. Imagine if you take so much offense and say it's a big deal for someone to say you COULD be like a fictional character and then say you know they're not real??

You need some serious help if you would do that and there's absolutely nothing wrong with saying this to someone who has been so awful to other people. There has to be a real problem if you are willing to fight so much with someone for a FICTIONAL character. You disagree okay, argue about the show okay, but to insult them on a personal level because for some reason you think they are attacking you when they are talking about a fictional character is ridiculous. So anyone who points that out is not wrong and not getting personal. It's a valid response.

I kept quiet and ignored things because I thought such people don't deserve a response as they are completely delusional, but there are no active mods here at the moment and I felt like I couldn't speak up when I had to due to me being inactive for a while so I need to do it now. We all need to stick together and ensure people don't get away with this kind of behaviour and don't dare to do it again. We can support or criticize whichever character we want to but we need to remember our limits, and not go beyond the fictional characters. People can even report such abuse as a cyber crime, so please let's not assume silence means you're getting away with things. It was ignored but everything is always recorded.

Anyway, most of you are amazing people so let's be free to discuss openly and enjoy sharing our thoughts and ideas without feeling like anyone can stifle our opinions by their abusive behaviour. Much love to all of you who have been supportive throughout ❤️

So you agree you sent abusive and threatening DMs for an argument about Anupama? I'm pretty sure the mods would have to first deal with those over my post merely talking about people who abuse someone personally for fictional characters. I try to stick to the topic the forum is created for, but this was important and had to be said because this forum first and foremost needs to be a safe and happy space for everyone.

No one is trying to instigate you and I'm not here to argue with you. I'm only talking about those who abuse and hurt people for a discussion on a fictional character. That's anyway definitely against forum rules. So if you don't do that, this post has nothing to do with you. But go ahead, tag whoever you want.
